I have used DE for years on many different animals and in gardens basements, you name it. It is also effective on head lice. If you have children in school and have ever had to deal with this, DE is a lifesaver. If used properly, it is very safe. Much safer than pesticides. Always make sure it is food grade, and minimize the chance that it will be inhaled. It is used as a dewormer and detoxifier as well taken internally.

In 22 yrs,I've never had a ferret test positive for worms. Not saying it can't happen, just that God has blessed us.

Little over a year ago,my vet called me & asked me to take a ferret in.Since I am a shelter. Vet was very upset & near tears.19 yr old girl had ferret carried it around in her purse. Ferret got sick.Friends told her it had worms. She gives it cat wormer, Hartz. So,I take Snookie home knowing her heart is barely pumping due to wormer. She was her just under 4 mths when she crossed over

Someone should ban the sale of those blasted Hartz wormers. They've caused more damage than they've ever helped ciao

I keep hearing horror stories over those Hartz products JMO but I think wormers and flea products should only be available from the vets.

I agree. I find it frustrating to not be able to access some drugs without a vet's writ but these products are so dangerous. I don't use Hartz products they've had so many recalls, so many deaths. ciao
