He's adorable. Thank you for taking him in and giving him a home. He looks like he might profit from some raw food. Take care, your numbers are getting up there. That's a lot of work, I know, I've been there. Strangely, enough....16 was ok....18 (my absolute limit) was too many. It was also at that point that some of my guys decided that they didn't need to play together anymore either . Congratulations ciao

Congrats on the new baby! What a huge, pink nose he has, too cute! Animal hoarding consists of three main "descriptors." 1.) Possessing more animals than considered normal (you may qualify here, lol). 2.) not being capable of properly housing and caring for said animals and 3.) denying the inability to properly care for them. you're totally safe from being deemed a hoarder.

Yes it is alot of work, as long as we are consistant though everything works out great. I'll admit however, I can't WAIT to get our new laminate floors put in because white berber carpet (I did NOT put that in!) with 16 ferrets is just h*ll. Ordering another 142 today! I really want 3 of them together and 3 additions on the top. It will be a pain to assemble and keep clean (I'm short!) but I think it would give them enough room.

do they all get along together? no separate play times? all 16 out at once? that must be a disaster for the trouble makers.

Tasha is a bit of a brat to the younger two, once Berry was bigger than her she stopped picking on her as much, i'm sure it'll be the same with dexter. The rest all do fine together, they sleep in the biggest ferret pile you'll ever see lol. They have their own bedroom right now. I don't cage them at any time because their room is ferret proofed. However I'm thinking once I get all the cages set up and arranged that they will go in them at night for sure. They make alot of noise and our house is open concept with only a half wall dividing our room from theirs so I hear them running through tubes and jumping in their box full of packing peanuts all night long.. not to mention I bought one of those crinkle sack tubes, yeah thats really annoying at 1am. Plus it'll be nice to put them away and not have to worry about darting through the door so no one escapes everytime I walk into their room! Hannable sleeps in a basket next to the door so he can escape the moment it opens.. sneaky little brat!

What an adorable little baby! This forum is killing me with all these new fuzzes. I don't how you do it with 16, I was exhausted after a couple years of having seven, but I work 2 jobs and have a zoo of critters besides. I had so many cages and sleeping spots and stuff I would run around counting ferrets constantly and freaking out that someone was missing. I can only imagine trying to find that many.
