Okay, so let's take a step back. I think we should go back to a soup mix that she will eat on a regular basis with no issues. That way you're not wastng food.

Have you looked at my "inconsistent eating" thread? I posted a pic of flowers poop this afternoon, could it be green from the stress of shedding really badly? Could that also be what is throwing her eating off?

Hi! Sorry for the lack of posts - my Internet was out.
Yes, the not eating could be due to her feeling off. It happens from time to time. Bacterial overloads, stress, etc. As long as she does eat, and she is maintaining weigh and activity is good, I wouldn't be too concerned. Her appetite might also be slowing down as she adjusts to the raw, so you'll have to adjust for that.
What I did was try to offer smaller amounts of food more often. Id check the cage every 6-8 hours. If the food was gone, id add a bit more.

1. Ferret's name: Flower 2. Ferret's weight: 1lb 7oz ( have not weighted her since last week) 3. Ferret has eaten "X" amount on average per meal. Its hard to say since Ive been "watering" her food down, I would say she is getting about 1ish tablespoons (maybe a little more) and then that has been watered down to like double the amount. 5. Activity levels: Normal playful 6. Weekly menu:~bravo duck necks, ostrich, and venison, and some pumkinWatered down to soup consistancy.Ive been doing this all week. I also have been adding in some Stella & Chewy's dandy lamb dinner (freeze dried) broken up into little pieces and mixed in the soup. Taurine every other night and salmon oil every to every other night. the pic is kinda fuzzy bit shows her body shape I dont know if you can tell in the pics but her fur is so nice and now its so soft and satiny and almost has a sheen to it ;D and her tail got soo fat! She looks and feels soo much better than when I first got her, her fur was coarse and long/shaggy-ish, like she had lots of long guard hairs that made her sorta wirey. but not anymore

Oh and Flower wont go for her food at the old consistancy, she will only eat it if I add water... and she doesnt always eat the little chunks of freeze dried when I put them in, alot of the time they are still left on the bottom of the bowl when she is done eating. lol ugh difficult child

Sounds like a picky girl. For her size and weight, she is eating a good amount though Slowly back off on the water, and hopefully she won't notice it's missing :-P Hope you had a good Christmas

Ok, well of course I'm out of the stuff she is used to and she started the home-made mush I had in the freezer, so it is pretty chunky as I only roughly blended it in the food processor. But because it is new she is going to be picky about the "flavor". It is Chicken, Pork, Beef Heart, and Beef Kidney... The only thing in there that she has not tried before is the kidney, but she will be picky anyway. I watered it down, and all she did was drank the "gravy". And I had to scruff her to get her started. Also, I am coming down with something and so have been trying not to handle her, is it ok to scruff her do you think? I just dont want her getting my germs. Which of course means she hasnt gotten play time out of her cage this weekend, and I dont feel like Im getting better I think I am getting worse so she might not be getting free time for a while longer She has been looking soo good though! ;D

Ugh I'm gonna have to go get her some of the commercial stuff she's been eating because she is just lapping the juices off the homemade mush because it is to chunky. plus now she sounds congested. So do I spend the money on getting her food or taking her to the vet!?! Ugh!

Ferret has eaten "X" amount on average per meal. Maybe 1-2 tablespoons on average per meal 4. Stools on various proteins. Has been off color and soft and sort of smelly 5. I also have been adding in some Stella & Chewy's dandy lamb dinner (freeze dried) broken up into little pieces and mixed in the soup. Taurine every other night and salmon oil every to every other night. Yesterday I ran out of the above commercial mix and tried to give her the home made mix I talked about previousy that I had in the freezer but she only lapped the juices up last night and this morning. So tonight I gave her some watered down chicken babyfood with some shavings of the freeze dried lamb in it. I am waiting for the commercial ostrich that I picked up this afternoon to finish thawing and will probably give her a second dinner of that watered down to soup (just the way the lil brat like is ) before bed.
