Do you notice that there is significant snacking during the day? Are the A.M. and P.M. meals 12 hours apart, or less? All in all, if she's eating well and not losing weight, I wouldn't be too concerned. Each ferret is unique and their schedule can vary. There are several people that feed a single meal.

She might only eat a bite or 2 during the day most days, but she usually goes right to her dinner and eats half of it before I go to bed, and then the rest of it is usually gone when I wake up in the a.m. so maybe I will try giving her smaller breakfasts and larger dinners?? I hate to waste so much food...

You can definitely do that! You might see variations in her eating habits as she becomes more adjusted to the diet (as well as seasonal fluctuations), but if that works, then I see no problems with it I usually feed a medium meal for breakfast (since my girls are usually pretty hungry in the morning), and then two small meals at night (one around 5-6 PM and another right before bed around 12-1 AM. This way, I can minimize the amount of food left sitting too long, and I can add more if they finish anything. This also works because my kids are free roam while I'm home, so they don't have cage access when their out.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a night owl I love doing things at night. I have morning classes at 9 AM and I live about 30 min from campus, so sometimes I end up being a bit tired. This is my last week of finals and then I just have my thesis and lab stuff to work on until about Dec. 20 or so. My school also has no classes in January (it's an independent study period for all students) so I'll get to sleep in a bit and just come in to the lab later Which means I can stay up later

It sounds like she is doing wonderful! And that is GREAT about the freeze dried I know you want to feed mainly commercial raw, but would you be opposed to feeding a whole bone meat like chicken wings once or twice a week? It is really amazing for teeth and good jaw exercise

If I can get her to eat them... She has not been wanting to eat her meat much, now all she wants is the carnivore crunch freeze dried maybe getting her to eat that was a bad idea lol ugh I have to keep scruffing her and spoon feeding her to get her to eat a little meat. I am going to try adding more pumkin and see if that entices her... And I will probably do a mix of commercial and frakenprey(I think that is what you called it). like when I dog sit the lady has a food processor so I can make a raw mix when Im there and freeze it, but the in between dogsittings when I run out of the mix ill do commericail, or ill mix the commercial and the meat mix to make the mix last longer maybe... Im still trying to feel out what im going to do for her diet exactly and what she likes best.

I completely understand It can be tricky to figure out what works best for both of you Will Flower eat small pieces or chunks of meat? So flower weights more than I thought! She us 1lb 7oz!! she gained 3 oz in 1 month! Woo! That's awesome!

Ok so she wanted nothing to do with the chicken wing tip and I am not to sure about meat chunks because she keeps going through these phases of where she won't really eat for a couple days which is getting really frustrating because I throw away so much food and am wasting so much money ugh! I mean, she has gained weight this month so I guess it is not to detrimental but I don't have the money to waste by throwing the food away.
