And as for the bone, they got Bravo mix 3 days this week so that was 6 meals that had ground bone, and 2 days with a meat on bone with their main meal, and the meat bones stay in the cage 24-48hrs depending... I usually do chicken wings but my friend had given me a beef neck (or maybe it was a pork neck, lol idk) to try out so I tried that in place of a chicken wing this week... She also gave me a pigs foot I still need to try on the... A little gross but, hey if they like it lol

Okay, just went back and took a look ;D I'd really switch the beef/pork neck for something they can actually eat though Don't know about yours, but mine can't/won't eat anything tougher than lamb's neck! Are you going to look at replacing some of the soup with muscle meats? If so, one of the meals should be straight hearts.

Well its not really soupy, its more like gruel lol very appetizing raw meat gruel lol. Flower does not like big chunks yet, only the kids will eat heart pieces so hopefully we will work up to that. but its kind of easier to have it all mixed together, it takes up less space that way. If/when they start eating pieces of meat ill have to go to the grocery store everyday lol I dont have much room for storing their food so when ever I make their mix I always end up throwing out all the organs that I dont use...

Oh, that's a bugger! Do you have a freecycle in your area? You might be able to pick up a deep freezer on there free They have TONS of stuff, but you've got to check daily and respond immediately.

I don't really have anywhere to put it. I still live at home with my parents . Anyway, how much do you think 3 Ferrets should be eating a meal? When I feed them, they usually have a little bit left that they don't eat right away and then someone goes and finishes that off a little later... So I'm thinking the amount I'm giving them is ok. Also, did this weeks menu look ok? I will switch back to chicken wings instead of the beef neck, I just wanted to see if they liked it. Sent from my Desire HD using ProBoards

Oh, and I wanted to ask? Will Ferrets eat intestines? I want to try and find some for them because I think that should be part of their diet in the organ mix...

No, you're feeding the right amount, and the menu looks good As for the intestines, it's doubtful. I know mine won't eat them from any prey large enough to shake them out of. I always find them lying around and drying to the cage bottom(or my walls!) after they have mice Cleaned out as in tripe? It's hard to say. I have tried both the ferrets and the cats with tripe, but it was a definite "no-go" ;D

Hmm ok lol it was a thought anyway, is there anything else I should be introducing to them? I'm pretty comfortable with where they are at, they seem to be doing quite well, other than the bickering between them lol, I did see Davinger dragging around Amalia yesterday so I know its not just Flower, its just that Flower makes it much easier for him, as soon as he lost his grip on Amalia she was all bounces and he couldn't catch her again. Flower is not that fast or bouncy so she is easy to catch... lol Sent from my Desire HD using ProBoards

Weights on the kids Flower is up to a whopping 1lb 9.5oz!!! Davinger is up to 1lb 15.5iz And Amalia is still 1lb 12oz Is it normal for Amalia to stay the same weight? I had hoped she would have gained a little... Sent from my Desire HD using ProBoards

So I had tried adding little pieces of beef to their breakfast this morning, and yeah, the pieces are still their lol they just ate around them. I think Davinger might have given them a try at least... I am going to make up more soup mix tonight, I don't make it soupy, I just use the blender to roughly chop and blend everything together... I don't normally add any water to it.

Don't forget- this is the time if year they normally start LOSING weight If she's staying the same, I'd not worry. With the beef, did you make the pieces a good deal smaller that the rest? That can sometimes make a difference.

Yeah the pieces were pretty small. But even if they do start eating chunks I would probably only give them once or twice a week.
