I'm on my phone so can't tell very well but I'd say both are 4-5 years. Clarity seems about 1/3 way up on the second from what I can see. Let's see what the other senior members think, I could be totally off.

I'm seeing clarity a good third way up the tooth and is starting to show half way, so I'm going to say 5 yrs, maybe a bit older as there is some clarity showing on the gumline. Half way indicates 7 yrs + ciao

I checked my 3 Cyrano is supposed to be 1.5 the other 2 about 3yrs, I see no translucency on Cyrano and just the tips of the other2 so does this seem right for their ages?

Both ferrets teeth indicate to be 5 years old Desiree. lefertmama it's hard to tell without pictures, can you upload some? No clarity to just on the barely tips of fangs mean 2 years and under. Slight yellowing on the molars would probably mean around 1 year. For the other 2 we would need to see pictures.

From the look of the pics you're looking at about 18 months to 2 yrs for all 3...it's just a scale and it's not a science. We did originally check on ferrets whom we actually knew how old they were when we started to compare them to the pics and for the most part they're accurate. One of the problems we did run into was ferrets who'd been raised and weaned on raw. The clarity isn't the same and doesn't progress in the same manner ciao

Thank you so much, I just wanted to be somewhat sure, as anyone can say they are 2 when they are surrendering them.

Nope....still think 4 or 5. The clarity on the tooth tip is less than a third. The back molar appears to have an abscess. I'm no vet but there appears to be a shadow that I would be concerned about. Nice pics ciao

Okay, good haha. Let's hope we will be taking pictures when he's like 8 or 9... hm or shoot for 10-11.. or forever, forever sounds good to me.
He just saw the Vet last Monday for a checkup and he did look at his teeth, I'll keep an eye on them though. What would you do for an abcess tooth? Pull it? Give antibiotics?

You can try antibiotics but most times they have to lift them. They do root canals...but I really don't know about it. Most vets just pull. It might be the reason why he's chewing everything ciao

I'll ask my Vet about it. He should have seen that though, and I don't wanna pay $50 for a 4th vet visit where it should've been seen. Ughh. It'd have to be pulled.. he took 3 rounds of 2 antibiotics when all this started and nada. On Pred and still chewing, the only way my Vet knows to cure the chronic gingivitis he has is to pull every tooth in his mouth, but we aren't going to do that, so it's steroids forever. He has Insulinoma so Pred is lifelong right now anyway. If I had that pulled I'd want them cleaned too.. if I had the $$$.
Thank you Heather.
