I don't breed or select for a snuggler type personality, so I can't be of much help. About all I can suggest is that the kits who are still willing to give kisses after 6-7 weeks tend to be more tolerant of being cuddled when they're older. I teach my kits to give kisses from 3 weeks old on, as that seems to repress the urge to nip faces and noses when they're older.
Anyone wanting a cuddley type ferret should probably look for one which has an easy going and calm type of personality, most likely an older Marshall Farm ferret as they have been bred for docility.

That's helpful, thank you. I may want a ferret that leans towards affectionate/kissy but I don't necessarily want a calm, lobotomized (not all, but a lot of them seem kind of as if they had Down's) Marshall's. If I'm to seek one out besides rescues that I just happen upon I'd prefer a kit and just want to increase my odds of choosing the right one when the times comes, but at this point I definitely don't plan on supporting any of the mill industries.
