No, it isn't. Miss Emily is a pound and a half(or 24oz). She eats about 2 oz a day. So about 60 oz a month.

LOL! Luv the unboxing! ;D Looks like a nice packing job, I like their small flex packs of ice cubes! Would be great for horse leg injuries! Can't believe your 3 acre property is prevented from having chickens! Me, I'd be the sort to simply set up a coop in back, behind a privacy fence and worry about it if and when the neighbors fussed. Offer them some fresh free eggs and that ought to shut them up!
LLAMAS are O.k. but not chickens? Yeah, O.K> I can understand not wanting a bunch of roosters, but chickens will lay eggs without roosters around. Kind of tough to get peeps though without at least one rooster. IS there such a a thing as a silent rooster?
How about quail? They ought to be quiet and easy enough to raise on three acres. Take about three dozen eggs to make an omelet though....
THere's too dang many laws!
Curious why you didn't simply get the turkey hearts, chicken chunks and livers from the regular grocery store - could've got more mice that way. Did you check out RodentPRO? they offer a 50 count adult mouse bag for 24 bucks. Price changes as item count changes too. They've shipped to me in Florida (from Indiana) and all items arrived rock solid frozen! They offer rabbits, guinea pigs, quail, & chicks too.
You've got plenty to keep your crew satiated!
Oh yeah, the rabbit bones- yep, raw should be safe enough for a cat or a dog as long as they have been introduced to raw already and aren't the type to inhale the bone in one gulp. If the bone hasn't sat about all day you could throw it in a baggie, re-freeze and save to get boiled into soup.
Cheers, Kim

I think I'd want to egg the neighbor, that's the problem ;D ;D ;D "snooty" I did order from rodentpro, but idiot me realized after the fact that I should have filled the box. Yep, I'd love a couple hens and a rooster, but I believe a neighbor would find something to call in. Yep I can have a llamma, an alpaca etc. Not a tiny chicken coop. Its really one of those things that does not make sense. I can have a rabbit one too but looks like a lot of work. I would so do the chicken coop, if they didn't go near my fence, drive my dog up a wall and make her bark. Yep I got called in for one bark before, not a series of barks but one in the middle of the afternoon. I think I'd egg the house, thats the problem. I have good aim. ;D ;D I didnt get those items here, because they are not natural or even organic or not offered. I looked everywhere. Local coop's but mostly grain ones, butchers throw them out etc etc. I did find a good group buy, but its one of those things you order a month in advance and then you buy and its a " you have to buy 50.00 worth of this" to get that. I'm good about it. It really wasn' bad. They had excellent pricing and everything looks awesome for them. I have a ton of variety and next rodentpro box will be filled. I'd do it now, my only fear is that I have no freer space left LOL!! I got the chicks and the 1 week quail from them, and by that time I had realized if I had filled the box, I would have saved. Such is life. I'm not worried about it. Hare today had some great stuff that rodentpro didnt have and my fuzzies are going to be in heaven! Since I decided raw and whole prey, this works out good. I had GP in the cart but took it out. I had a hard time with it looking like a pet. my rodentpro came a day before hare did. I might still put in an order for a filled box, but for now I think I have bases covered big time. I love that the beef hearts are ginormous. you truly do not realize how big things are and how heave until you unbox. Did you like my videos? hahahahaah My spouse said I sounded like a machine. ;D I've been thinking of a chicken coop anyways, but I want to move before I put that much effort in and can restrain myself from throwing an egg or 12 at the "snooty" snot living next door. We get things in just from the big producers at our stores. all hormones etc. Nothing good for the ferrets. Miss the old days when things were straight off the farm. My friend breeds chickens, I can surely check out what I can get. The all natural way. More show chickens however. I'll be keeping eyes peeled for some good goup buys on the cat and dog forums. I will also likely fill a rodent pro box of mice. Hare todays was good though I have to admit. They were still so frozen, their things were well packaged and sent next day. Less expensive than the raw petfood stores here or atleast near here. Contemplating breeding my own mice. It sounds like a ton of work and spendy to keep things up. we'll see. Maybe I will add a coop, but if you see a headline, old lady gets 5 years for egging neighbor" you know whom it was. ;D ;D ;D

You are stocked up woman! It's kind of nice having a stuffed freezer though, I get worried when I start seeing empty space. I wish rodentpro would do the cheaper 2-3 day shipping, if you do it right it's still very frozen like hare todays. My last HT order I came home looking for it, my b/f said "it's in the freezer". NOOO, I have to thaw and chop everything, leave it out lol. Of course my freezers are downstairs so had to lug everything back up to my fridge and chopping area.

I know! non stop complaint to change freezers for human food vs not. ;D What whiners men can be. whoops said that outloud huh? And he can see this! LOL i'll let my spouse ponder on that a bit. Maybe he'll stop or maybe ill never hear the end, but in the end, when those vet bills and those pets are healthier, who will be the one with the last word? I saw the reviews and have to say, its OK to get in an order if it isn't 100% frozen. Of course you do not want rotting or totally thawed, ( ewww) as if i dont think raw is ( ewww right now- you saw my gloves LOL!!!) which I find hard to imagine would happen but I am sure any company has had it happen. Of course if you do ground to a hot area you'll have variance and might choose a different company during that season perhaps? Check weather for the week too. Hot truck the whole way I'd imagine just asking to be let down if you expect everything to be so rock solid you could shatter it. She did well getting it out next day. a HUGE order. It was so hard, I might have been near shattering it from it being frozen and its been hot in the Midwest this year. The A/C is on since the beginning of March. Never saw snow. unusual. I think their quality is just as good as rodentpro's. They might not have as much variety on whole-prey just due to rodentpro catering to a lot of the reptile industry. Both are great, but it is nice getting in whole-prey and raw in any shape basically you want at one place. Does that mean I wont do rodentpro? Nope, next rodentpro will be all a big box too as that's the way to save there. I wish they did 2-3 day too because the dry ice is still frozen and it would be just fine here. ( perhaps someone would go in on an order and I ship it out with the original box at a fraction here in the Midwest 2 day shipping and guarantee it to be good) I liked HT because you can get almost anything there. Might not have as much whole prey choice but certainly a good amount to make it worth it! My order was very cold to the point i wish it was semi-thawed more. Tip: fedex handles better than UPS IME when it comes to delicate orders. UPS has sent some mangled boxes on my end for other normal online orders. Just experience is all I am going on at any company. For those with any neg. experience, I hope you give it a chance and look at weather. If you think at all, there might be an issue, use a different company, but I'll surely be looking at HT still. No doubt in my mind at this point.
