It is a lot of work. I used to set aside a weekend when I had 18 to 20 of the wee fuzzes. At that time I used to grind my own chicken up too. ciao

Nice! We normally only shop weekly. Except organs since we have to drive like 20miles there and back so we stock up for about a month supply.

That looks very well managed Mikey! I make about a month worth of soup at a time... But I put mine in little meal portions (60g 3 times a day) in little containers (3 containers per day). It takes me about 4 hours from grinding to freezer... And it takes up about 1/4 of my freezer space lol! I can't WAIT to have a large freezer JUST for the fuzzies...

Haha yeah freezer space is always an issue. In my pic you might notice some wires hanging down. That's because the space where I keep the raw meals used to have an ice maker. Ripped out the ice maker to make more room for ferret meals When I get a house though I'll be prepared. I have sitting in my storage room a 7 cubit foot deep freeze Hopefully by Thanksgiving time I'll be moved into a house and when those amazing turkey prices come around again (like 39 cents a pound!) or other great deals on meat, I'll be able to snag them and stockpile them in the deep freeze Not to mention I could get an order from Hare Today or Rodentpro and throw it in the freezer...

Ripped out the ice maker, huh? I haven't thought of that!! Thanks for the idea My biggest problem is the freezer space as well.... I only have one ferret, but my pit count as 15....lol He eats like 2 lbs of meat a day I'll be moving in the next few months and i'll def getting a 2nd fridge in the garage.
