I would really like to switch to raw and I've tried bits and pieces of chicken but only 1 of the 3 will even take to it. The other 2 have no desire. My one little girl is addicted to cat food. She will chew through the d*mn cat food bag to eat it. She's climbed up it (and we get a big bag) and crawled inside to eat it too. I can't keep the door shut to where the food is because the cat litter box and their water bowl and dog food are in the same room. So, needless to say, that Lily likes her kibble and I'm having a hard time getting her to even TRY the raw. Any ideas to get her to atleast take a bite?

The smoother and more soup like the better. Also warm it; some fuzziess like it warm Try holding them and handfeeding from a spoon but in the most stubborn cases sometimes you just have to force feed to show them it isn't poison. When force feeding I dip my finger in the puree and smear it on their gums.

I'm just beginning the switch myself. I found that rubbing a little on their tongues helped. I also sprinkled a very tiny bit of crushed kibble on top of the soup and mixed in ferretone. The ferretone encouraged them to try it on their own. My ferts have been very independent in the switch so far, so I haven't done much in the way of finger feeding or even spoon feeding. They went straight from me forcing it on them to merrily eating it off their plate (slowly, of course ) Also, since really heating the food can mess with the special "raw"ness of it from what I understand, I just add a spoon or two of warm water on top of the soup and mix it in. (Though now they love the soup so much I can serve the frozen soup cube and they love it.) The pros here can correct me if I'm wrong.

I probably could switch Chloe (our Sheltie) but I am not sure our cats would take to it. They wont even eat table foods, and they are all over 5yrs old. I can certainly give it a shot but not counting on it. Chloe on the other hand will eat anything.

Never say never with cats....you just don't know. Samurai was 12 yrs old when I switched him. He continued to eat raw for another 10 yrs. (it had to be ground because he didn't have much left in the tooth department ;D) My MIL's cats were about 7 yrs old when she switched them. ciao
