www.socalbarf.comI don't know if there's anybody else but me in the Los Angeles area though. This is a volunteer based co-op. You order once a month and they give you a pick up day when you can get your order. There are a few pick up sites throughout the area, so it makes it convenient. They have all kind of meat, and they only provide for raw feeders. I know, that there are places like this throughout the country, cuz I used to have a list by state. I've been looking for it for days (it was from my favorite dog-website's forum: leerburg.com), but I can't find it:-( I'll keep looking though, and post it when I find it.

Without the raw feeding coop that I belong to, it would be difficult to feed the number of carnivores in my house. We struck gold this month with pork roasts and spines. Last month it was turkey and chicken. ciao

Heather, I know you are in Ontario but I think you are a ways north of me. How did you locate your raw co-op?

Through connections and asking, actually try CanadianRawPetSupply@yahoogroups.com There are a ton of major suppliers out your way and a number of co-ops (more than a few times I've wished I was on your side of Toronto). This is a suppliers list but they have listings in their files. It is a list and you can post to it if you want. I lurk for the most part but you can request suppliers in your area to come forward. ciao

I found my coop entirely by accident. I found that most of my suppliers was just by word of mouth and sometimes feeling really silly . You just ask...butchers, meat departments, pet food, pet stores, surprisingly..vet offices. Sometimes, it's just a matter of striking up a conversation with another dog or cat person. I found my rat supplier while talking with a bunch of snake and reptile people. Found my rabbit supplier when complaining about the loss of a supplier for commercial raw pet food. It is often frustrating and even a bit embarrassing but in the end you find yourself a good list of suppliers. ciao
