Dr hoefer and dr Davis island exotic veterinary care 591 east Jericho turnpike Huntington station, ny 11746 631-424-0300
Best exotic vet that I used on Long Island ny. Only treats exotics no dogs or cats. The two Drs work very close together so if the pet is sick and sees one dr next visit sees the other dr they update each other how the pet is doing. Been using them for about 2.5 years. Both Drs are great, the techs are wonderful with my pets, and the front girls are great. Never had any problems bring my pets to island exotic veterinary care

Dr. Jerry Murray Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch 14021 Denton Dr Farmers Branch, TX 75234 (972) 247-2221 Phone (972) 247-5779 Fax www.animalclinicoffarmersbranch.comDr. Murray is one of the vets that I use. He is really knowledgeable about ferrets. He writes many articles for smallanimalchannel.com. His prices are very reasonable for anyone in the Dallas area that is on a budget. Every time I took my babies in for Lupron shots, it was only $15 for the shot!!!! It is a sit and wait clinic and Dr.Murray is the only one there that can see ferrets so call ahead and make sure he is there! He is off on Thursdays and the first Saturday of every month.

Dr. Deb Finnegan Pet Medical Center 57 E 3rd St Winona, MN 55987 (507) 454-2600 Phone (507) 454-1893 Fax pmcwinona.com
I'm a new ferret owner, so of course I can't say what "good" care is vs "excellent" or anything ? I'm not sure. :S But Dr. Finnegan seems very kind and seems to know what she's doing regarding ferrets. my area is fairly small, and I believe she does all pet animals, exotics and cats and dogs as well. I've only seen her once, and she was so very caring of my fuzzies, but I don't know how she thinks of the raw diet or anything yet. all I can really supply here is her professional bio:

Upstate New York North Country Animal Health Center 16760 NY-3 Watertown, NY 13601 (315) 785-9505 www.northcountryanimals.comThere are multiple veterinarians at this practice who are very experienced with exotics, including ferrets. They perform routine care including rabies vaccine, distemper vaccine, health check, and treatment for various ailments. If they are unable to perform a procedure then they refer clients to Cornell University vet clinic. They do not protest raw diet, they only promote a species-specific diet whether it be raw, kibble, etc.

This is not in the US, but for the benefit of anyone who in the event is looking for a good ferret vet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, there is only one with the relevant knowledge and passion for animals (and not profit):
Dr. Jenny Ling Hand N Paws Vet G-21, Block B, Merchant Square, Jalan Tropicana Selatan, Tropicana, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia Phone: +603-7804 6539 Email: jvet2004@gmail.com
She's amazing with ferrets, rabbits, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and basically any small animal. She is owned by her own 14 cats, 1 ferret, 1 rabbit and various other small animals. She takes a holistic approach, and prescribes natural remedies where she can (ie. papain for anti-inflammatory benefits) and is always responsive to any emergencies I had in the past. She's performed a caesarean on one of my jills, have treated all of mine, and I just really can't say enough about her. She knows I raw feed, and supports it, and have helped me out in various animal rescues I have done in the past. Only thing is, initial contact with her is only through email, as per her personal policy, so might take a few days for her to get back to you.

Exotic Animal Hospital of Orlando 24 Sturtevant St. Orlando, FL 32806 407-286-3484
It’s been a while since I’ve visited, but after 4-5 visits to 2 different vets, we found Dr. Diaz. Our ferret had digestion issues and would regularly get sick for a few days at a time. The other vets ran expensive tests and gave antibiotics, and told me it was the raw diet that was the problem. Dr. Díaz took the time to listen and encouraged me to continue the raw diet, without any negative feedback. He is amazing, very patient and gentle and doesn’t rush through your appointment.

I'm in NC and we have three vets, plus an emergency vet for exotics Avian & Exotic Animal Hospital8711 Fidelity Blvd. Raleigh, NC 27617 Phone: 919-844-9166 Hours of Operation Mon-Fri: 8am-6pm (will take walk-ins during these hours if they can) Sat.: 8am-12pm (typically just pick ups from boarding; appts. only) We also have the veterinary school at NC State and there is another vet who sees ferrets along side cats and dogs, but I can only personally vouch for Avian & Exotic. I have used the emergency vet once, and because I know they are rare I will link them below. Animal Emergency Hospital & Urgent Care
