I did not see my vet on the listing by state.
All Creatures Vet Care 2780 Earlystown Road Centre Hall PA 16828 (814) 364-2040
Dr Ferretti and Dr Ellen are both awesome! They truly care about ferrets, and make you feel welcome. No animal is to small/insignificant- they've treated reptiles, chickens, hamsters, and guinea pigs. Dr. Ferretti was great during the treatment of Bandit's lymphoma and all staff were supportive during his passing. Dr Ellen has taken a leave of absence, and there is a new vet there alongside Dr Ferretti. (I do not have his name though.) He's not experienced in ferrets, but is receiving training. I also give a huge shout out to Shania, one of the techs. She is a true ferret lover and a joy to talk with.
If you stop in to All Creatures, be sure to say hi to Ruthie, the office bearded dragon.

Midwest Exotic in Elmwood Park, IL (right on the border with Chicago) - www.midwestexotichospital.com/docStaff.htmlI've only been to Midwest twice, but Dr. Poliakoff and Dr. Habhab have both seen my ferrets. Dr. Poliakoff is one of the partners and was very knowledgeable. She did an exam and distemper shot... Dr. Habhab did an exam and rabies shot. Both handled my fur balls well and recommended an antihistamine shot prior to the vaccine to prevent a reaction. They held them for an appropriate amount of time to ensure no reaction would occur. Their ferret section on their site also demonstrates that they are very knowledgeable about them. Their site advocates raw/whole prey, but I have not discussed it with the doctors at all.

Avian and Exotic Clinic of Indianapolis Dr. Angela Lennox 9330 Waldemar Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46268 (317) 879-8633
I used to go to a local vet who is only 10 minutes away from me. But he was basically a small town dog & cat vet, and I had to find a new vet who specialized in ferrets. I found Dr. Loennox through a ferret shelter in Indy, and although she is two and a half hours away from me, I go to her. Not only she knows ferrets in great deals, but she is also personable and she will listen to your concerns. She is THE ONE, if you live in Indiana!

Please add Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital azeah.com/They have multiple locations and vets. Knowledgeable, friendly, and most importantly, open to raw diets. They did tell me that they have more experience with whole prey and commercial raw rather than frankenprey.

Hello All,
I have transitioned the Ferret Vet Directory to a google document! No more need to bookmark different PDFs!
It will update automatically the second I add a vet!! So the Vet Directory will always be up to date with only 1 single link! (dance)
To view the Up-to-Date Ferret Vet Directory: docs.google.com/document/d/1ka_ERZf0mFfKsPumxriKP0UcB1X-jBuFFpSKL5D7Mfw/edit
To add your Vet to the To-be-Added list fill out the following form: docs.google.com/forms/d/1QfJm40LZEkR7DqyX2zqpKEst6P3-KphlOEbANDgEYj4/viewform
You are always welcomed to PM me directly or Email me ( Ferretvetlist@gmail.com ) should an update (Vet moved to another practice, Vet is no longer practicing, etc.) need to be made.
Thank you all and Enjoy the list! (giggle)

Dr. Melanie A. Marsden 1813 N. Union Blvd Colorado Springs, CO 80909
719-475-1747
Dr. Melanie was wonderful, she is raw tolerant bordering on pro raw. She does ferrets along with cats and dogs. The clinic questionnaire was incredibly detailed. Tyler here deserves recognition too. She was the only ferret owning tech and helped with Tundra. She was just as great.

Dr. Reed and Dr. Joy Fine
1-704-841-2225
135 W John St, Matthews, NC 28105
Monday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Tuesday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Wednesday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Thursday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm Saturday 7:30 am – 12:00 pm Sunday Closed
They do not do emergency care.
These two vets are by far the best vets I've EVER had for any animal. That's saying something because I really loved my vet in Florence, Sc years ago. Dr. Reed is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and what he doesn't understand he is willing to learn. He wasn't familiar with Frankenprey until I told him about it. Now he is doing his own research about it so he can suggest it to other clients. He gets down in the floor and plays with my boys and even baby talks them. If Mondays weren't his surgery days then I would have seen him. Dr. Fine was there in his place and she is just as amazing. Soft spoken, gentle with the boys and loves seeing them. They don't have many people with Ferret clients that come to see them because not many people know that they cater to the exotic community.
I want that to change. It's so hard to find an exotic vet in my area that is knowledgeable and pro-raw. I want these guys added to the list because they deserve to be known.
