Good experiences for the most part. Very attentive. All staff are very kind and absolutely love my ferrets! They are all for raw or high end kibble. Do not care for Marshall's food much.

Tundra, you are in Australia correct? I'm sorry but I don't know how the provinces or states are broken up there, but would you be able to list more info on where the vet is if it is available? Like State (Province? ), clinic name, and maybe a contact info (phone, email, website)? If you can that would be really helpful for anyone in your area who might want to reach this vet. Thanks!

I'm in Northern VT. I saw Dr Rich Armstrong at the Animal Hospital of Hinesburg. I believe the other ferret-savvy vet is Dr Greenberg. Dr Armstrong is very personable and I absolutely love him! They don't recommend a raw diet to all people because they worry that the average owner will not feed a balanced diet, but when I told them my diet they were supportive of it. They do NOT recommend regular vaccines for ferrets, either. Animal Hospital of Hinesburg hinesburgbristolvet.com/site/view/155937_Home.pml(802) 482 2955 205 Commerce Street Hinesburg, VT 05461 Oh and I have no experience with it but Dr Greenberg purportedly practices traditional Chinese medicine and is certified in animal acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Both locations are located near the Cincinnati area. www.all-creatures.com/www.linkedin.com/pub/dr-dan-meakin/29/508/b22Dr. Meakin is very knowledgeable in small exotic animals. The Anderson facility is very clean and professional. The Anderson facility offers after hours emergency services. I've only had one ferret see him once but I was very impressed with what I heard. Since it was not a normal visit I cannot comment on check ups and continued care but he was very helpful for an emergency visit. When researching for good exotic pet vets in my area his name came up. They also have a wellness clinic located near Cincinnati as well 5194 Beechmont Ave Cincinnati, OH 45230 513-231-2345 "We are excited to announce that as of January 1, 2012 our new Mt. Washington location is officially All Creatures Wellness Clinic. We are now able to offer walk-in service 6 days a week, reduced prices on vaccines and standard services, and free technician appointments. Your pet's health is very important to us. We believe that all creatures deserve a long, healthy life with their loving families. This is our gift to you in appreciation for helping us serve the pets of the Greater Cincinnati area since 1993."

Dr. Mike Wehby Harpeth Hills Animal Hospital 329 Clofton Drive Nashville, TN 37221 I've been taking my guys to Dr. Wehby for over a year and have been very happy with the service and the clinic in general. The staff are always very friendly and professional. While he doesn't seem to necessarily be an expert on ferrets or be the most up-to-date on new treatments (I think mine are the only ones they see ), he does seem to know his stuff and he's a very approachable guy. Plus, their prices are reasonable. I trust him with all their routine checkups and general care, but I will probably be going elsewhere for treatment for Dexter's adrenal. Oh, and he's raw-friendly! (dance)

Dr. Ron Titterington (I had to look up his last name...it's so hard to remember! lol) Emerald Valley Pet Medical Center 3880 West 11th Avenue Eugene, OR 97402 www.evpmc.com541.484.1414 Email: drron@evpmc.com I've only taken Javik to see him once, but I really like him. He is very ferret knowledgeable (ferrets make up 25% of his patients), friendly and open minded. He is pro raw too! I have yet to see him for anything other than a check up, but my dad's co worker takes his ferrets to Dr. Ron as well and he's had good things to say about him. Prices are a bit more than a vet I had contacted in Santa Clara, but his office has frequent deals, my first appointment was free because I was a new client, only had to pay for the vaccinations I got and microchipping (they also have free microchipping coupons for new clients in the Savvy Saver books - message me if someone would like me to cut one out for them

Anyone have any good recommendations for ferret friendly vets in central or south New Jersey? I would like another good vet in the area for second opinions or in case of emergencies. Thanks!

Montreal Bird & Exotic Animal Hospital 6090 rue Sherbrooke O Montreal, Quebec (Canada) H4A 1Y1 514-486-5258 There are three vets who see ferrets, which is wonderful because they won't hesitate to talk to one-another for a second opinion. PM me if you need a recommendation. The staff is very friendly and they don't charge me for exam fees anymore since I'm a regular with my older ferret Stark (which is very nice considering the cost of medication...). They are pro-adoption - they always have a few bunnies and birds up for adoption in their clinic, and I know they are the vet of the SPCA's exotic animals department and they raise funds for them. I don't know yet if they are pro-raw... will find out soon! ![]() EDIT: At least one of their vets, Dr. Sophie Hébert Saulnier, is pro-raw-feeding. She recommended going for a whole-prey diet if going raw. I loved her right then.
