Oops ;D I don't know why, but all this time I've been thinking Lil Bit was a female ;D So, correct that to using 6-10 medallions a day for the two of them ;D

They have all of the flavors except rabbit because their supplier doesn't have any. So that means besides the chicken and lamb i'm feeding them, they have venison, beef (which they didn't like) and bison. I thought those three would all taste like beef.

There is another store around here that sells NV (I'll have to check if they have raw) I'll look them up and call them tomorrow.

Venison would be the mildest flavour of those three. What you CAN do is mix maybe one half venison medallion into their normal amount of chicken. Makes the chicken taste a wee bit stronger, but not by much. Make it sort of like a switch, and just go nice and slow until they are eating straight venison. You can do the same with the others. The trick is finding the starting point where they'll actually eat it with the new meat mixed in.

Okay that works. If I call around and no one has the Raw Rabbit I will go ahead and get the Venison. It seems as if rabbit is in short supply lately.

Other then getting them to try one more flavor thats it right? Also when i travel with the pets can I use a freeze-dried? Will they accept that as readily as the hydrated raw?

Once they are eating minimum of three proteins, i'll have you write up a formal menu, and let Heather know so she can look it over As for the freeze dried, try it first so they are used to the difference in taste and texture. Otherwise they may just refuse it. I'd offer one meal a week to keep them used to it as well. Prevents any problems that way.

Okay so I went to the store to get more food today. There was still no rabbit so I got the venison along with the normal chicken and lamb I've been feeding them. I'll feed them some for dinner and see how it goes.

So they have taken to the venison really well. So I think I'll set up the week as follows: Day 1: Venison Day 2: Chicken Day 3: Lamb Day 4: Venison Day 5: Chicken Day 6: Lamb ect... If they ever get Rabbit back in stock I will get some of that and try to incorporate that into their diet.
