I should be going this week to get some more. I'm thinking about getting rabbit and lamb. The rabbit is very expensive but sense it's white meat and they like chicken I think it won't be as bad. They refuse to eat the beef. I fed them some lamb kibble and they ate it so I'm hoping that would work. Maybe later on I will try red meats agains, I'm just worried. Apparently though the company has a return policy, have you ever had to tried it?

Just because they ate lamb in kibble doesn't mean they'll take it raw. One way to get them eating a new one is to slowly mix it in with their favourite. Say 90% chicken, 10% new meat. Slowly work up the ratio if new to old. You may never get them fully on the new one, but even if they are eating a 50/50 ratio- they are still getting another protein!

Wait, do you think if they like the chicken they would probably like the rabbit? Since it's anther white meat.

Not necessarily. They are ferrets, after all ;D Mine adore rabbit chunks, yet will not eat commercial ground rabbit. Same goes for goat

Okay I went to the store yesterday they were out of rabbit (I guess theres some issues with getting it from the suppliers) but I did buy the lamb and all I did was add some ferretvite and they ate it. So thats good (: I'll see what happens today if they eat it without the ferretvite. The store said they might get rabbit in tomorrow so I'll call and see.

Yeah, with lamb they seem to either love it or hate it. So what sort of variety are they getting now?

I have the chicken and lamb as of now. I'll call again tomorrow and see if they have the rabbit in. They won't get sick in the meantime will they?

Oh okay good. Well Max is eating the lamb now on his own with no ferrevite. So it looks like all is going well. I don't think we talked about how much to feed them. Do I just feed them one medallion in the morning and one at night? Or more?

Give them what they'll eat. As a rule, ferrets won't overeat. If one medallion weighs an ounce, your male will likely eat 3-5, and your female 2-4 a day.
