Lil Bit has taken a liking to the chicken verson of the raw food. I will attempt to try again with the beef. Max on the other hand is still being just as stubborn. He's a lot to handle sometimes.

Stick with the chicken for now until you get Max accepting it. If you switch around too much right now, he's going to be even more resistant. And beef has a MUCH stronger flavour. If you aren't getting anywhere with him in a week or so, then try him with the beef. Just in case it's the fact he doesn't like chicken- not just being stubborn!

I'm still in the process of getting them to like the new food. Ill try once again with the chicken tonight and if he still wont take it I'll try the beef tomorrow. I really hope that's not the issue I don't want to have to buy another brand and this one go to waste

Sorry for the late response I've been away for vacation and a working on a lot of research projects for school. Anyway my boyfriend Sergio has been taking car of the ferrets and both of them have taken to eating the store bought raw. So thats a step foward. So that's good.

If they still reject the beef(and they might because it's much stronger in flavour), try some turkey or pork and let me know!

Certainly, if you like. But do understand, they have to build up jaw strength to crunch through bone. Best bet for beginner bone are chicken wing tips, as well as the middle bones. Something else to build up the jaw strength are gizzards. Instead of pushing the beef so much since they don't really like it yet, try a different protein. Also, you need to start introducing liver and heart if you haven't yet(sorry- can't remember right now )

Yeah I've introduced both the liver and heart (from a chicken) and they seem to like it. Sense they already like those do you think they would like the gizzard without any issues?

I'll bet they go bonkers over it feed it as a muscle though, not an organ meal.

They like the gizzards well. I didn't feed the chicken tips yet, I've been trying to see if they just sell the tips but I haven't been able to find anything. Also Ill be going away for three weeks for Christmas, any advice on what to do regarding the raw food?

Unfortunately, you won't find just the tips. You'll have to buy the whole wing, cut them off, and freeze the rest for now Since you are going away, let's set up a tentative menu with what you KNOW they'll eat. That way, we can tweak it as needed. What you'll do is portion out the servings into baggies, label and freeze them. That way, the person doing the feeding just has to toss a couple of days at a time into the fridge to defrost, and empty the bag into a dish for them. And make sure to leave a written menu pinned to the fridge, or in a place that's easy to see
