I'll have to check the links when I get home, but I've heard good things about Primal. Just check the ingredients. The closer to straight meat/bone/organ, the better. That way, you can add in whatever you want(like pumpkin) without going over about 5% of non digestibles. Frankly, I feed commercial raw every morning, mainly because I've Gita really lazybone eater

I was wondering if you had a chance to look at it? The formula is a little expensive. So I would prefer to go with a grind or mix and just supplement it with with vitamins or fatty acids? But what would I use? Also they don't have beef in the grind so should i go with turkey, chicken and buffalo? The Mix has fruits and vegetable so I prob would just get the grind because if doesn't have that right? They also sell turkey neck, chicken back, and chicken neck? Should I get one, if so what one?

Sorry- got busy and completely forgot Frankly, I'd go with the grinds, and simply supplement with chunks meats 3-4 times a week. I'm assuming you mean to feed it close to full time? Or just mornings? If it's the first, give chunked meat as I said 3-4 evenings a week, and maybe a chicken neck or wing for dental benefits once a week. If it's the latter, then it would work out to muscle meats 4 meals a week, one meal of heart a week, and quarter to half a portion of liver/organ a week. That would be determined on their tolerance levels, and determined by stool appearance.

As for which, I'd go for all but the sardine. A lot of ferrets aren't fond of fish, and they should really only be fed no more than weekly anyway.

Never mind I called around to all the stores and none of them have the grind version. I can keep looking for something else. Any suggestions?

Before writing them off totally, check and see if the veg etc are 5% or less. I simply gave you my opinion as the the best one Nature's variety frozen raw also has only 5% non digestibles in it, so that's another you could look at. Finding something with just meat/bone/organ can be difficult with comm raw

I went to a local store and got the chicken and beef version of the natures variety raw. So I guess that's what I'll be using. (and i guess sense its already in medallions that's not bad either). Do I still need to supplement anything? How many different flavors should i feed, three? (The rabbit is really expensive) So what would be the next best thing, the lamb, venison or buffalo?

It's a minimum if three proteins, preferably more Why not do three basic ones(cheapest), and supplement weekly with the others? So, mainly chicken, beef, and your third alternated throughout the week, and one meal of rabbit, one meal of venison, and one meal of another? Or however you'd like to work it. That way, fuzz gets tons of variety, and since it's only one meal of each, your pocket book is as well

They are not taking to the new food. Maybe because it has some fruits & veggies. I dont know. They didn't touch the meat, and lil bit only ate a little of the chicken. It seems like mornings working. I added a little water, no luck. I put ferretvite on top, still no luck. I even sprinkled it with kibble, but no nothing happened. I tried scruffing them and also putting a dab on their nose, but no. I'm at a loss for what to do.

Looks like you'll have to go the hand feeding route with the new stuff for a short while if you want to use it. It's not so much the veg content, as the organs that are included. Makes it taste different, and they don't recognize it. Alternately, you could simply prep all your week's feedings if using the RMB's, baggie them and just put the day's worth in the fridge the night before. Let me know which route you'd prefer to go. Personally, even though I feed comm. raw in the mornings, I still prep and baggie the RMB's for the evening. That way, everything is ready, and I don't have to worry about it.

Let the commercial raw thaw entirely, mash it up with water til like a very wet ground consistency, and spoon feed til they accept it Pretty much the same thing as when first getting them to accept raw soup
