i've been giving her a few ml a few times a day, and also mixing it into her soup. she's also not eating a lot, so I'll keep giving her the baby food until we leave for the vet.
i don't think she's sick any more, maybe the first day or so, now i think it's a blockage.

When was her last stool? Have you seen any of the pumpkin or squash?

Pumpkin or squash should help to release anything moveable- i pray its not a blockage- maybe a partial block- I would get Plain pumpkin or squash into her -soup or otherwise as Sherry said

she's at the vet now. we were there for awhile. she got sedated and x-rayed. she also got fluids as she was dehydrated. they're not sure about what's going on. they did feel something, just not in the intestines, more in the stomach. so they're doing a barium x-ray soon, once she can take it. the vet sent the x rays off to some specialists. and now i'm going to be a mess for the next few hours until i find out whats wrong.

I know how scary that can be - just have faith and be positive. The barium can sometimes work to push blockages out, too. I'll be praying for your baby

thank you. i hope so. we had barium before for belle, when we thought she had a blockage, she was throwing up and not eating much, the barium helped because i think it was an irritation because she was fine after.

It could just be a hairball. Just try to relax. It'll all be okay. She's in good hands and you have to be positive for your little girl. I'll be praying for your little one, keep us posted.

if something showed with the barium (and i'm assuming a plain/regular xray didn't show anything), then it's more than likely a hairball...and it's great they can do the surgery today rather than tomorrow! the sooner it's outta there, the better!!
sending good healing vibes!!

well the normal x ray did, she said the specialist said that there was gas and bloating, so that was something, but no, nothing like a piece of foam or something.

its not an obstruction. her stomach and the duodenum was enlarged, so the vet thinks it could be a bacterial overgrowth, something starting with an 'h' i think. anyway, i thought vaseline got rid of all bacteria? good and bad?
