Sonny can chew through any rubber no matter how hard. The dog had a Kong and we had to throw it out bc of Sonny. He also loves to chew on leather. my husbands belt is his "precious" these days.

Buy it. Well, it was given to me actually, but I have since found it online. I have lamb and bison and they are both loved equally. Chewy rubbers is chewy rubbers no matter the taste I guess. I will check the brand when I am home.

my Freya has this thing for what is now Her Pillow: a square, red, squooshy pillow, which she will pounce all over, drag in one direction until it won't go further, scurry around to the other side and drag in that direction til it gets stuck, scurry around again, and repeat..she's also fond of a rubber duck that is attached to my keys - the keys stay attached to my purse with a carabeiner and she has literally spent half an hour or longer yanking it in different directions, trying to steal and stash it [rubber duck is only permitted under direct supervision and is constantly evaluated for deterioration]!

I love how they can pick one item- and then have to have it at all times, no matter what ;D

Maggie loves her jingle eggs I made. I took plastic easter eggs, put change inside, taped it closed and put it in a baby sock and then tied a knot in the end. She's got like 5-6 of these that she shakes the crap out of (shes deaf) she has to collect and stash each one daily.
I think I got the idea for them from weinmeister, they are an awesome/cheap toy.

This is sooooo not a "safe for ferrets" toy but Loki's numero uno is a zhu-zhu pet hamster.
We turn it on, he stalks it and then kills the crud out of it every time until it shuts up. He bites it on the neck area, scratches the belly with his back feet and shakes it back and forth. It's amazing to see him go at it and then just walk away like no biggie until we turn it on again or put it back up.

Great idea! I'm gonna hafta try this -- never thought of the baby sock, and I'm no good at crocheting. But I *am* in a thrift store every week and therefore have ample access to cheap baby socks Thanks!!!

I named one of my girls "Socks" specifically for this. It's obsessive to the point that I can't wear socks in the ferret room. She will immediately make a bee line for you and start biting. The biting isn't to bite skin (although that does happen) but to grab the socks and try to remove them from you. If I lie down she will actually use her teeth and paws to take them right off your feet!

Pixel has three things she is obsessed with:
1. MY HUSBANDS SLIPPERS: meaning ONLY HIS slippers. Not mine. He takes size 12 slippers (big feet!) and Pixel will try taking his slippers off of him, or if he is out and leaves his slippers by the door, every day he has to spend at least 10 minutes when he gets home trying to find them. She drags them around the house and hides them in random places, and it is really funny to watch because they are alot bigger then she is! She doesn't touch mine though. Weird.
2. CHIPS: Maybe it's the crinkly bag or something.. but every single time I have a bag of chips she will climb all over me and do ANYTHING to get to them. I let her smell them and offer her some, but she doesn't even want them. She also never even plays with the bag when im done either. She just likes the noise the bag makes when I'm eating them.
3. GARBAGE CAN: Pixel adores the garbage can. I can put it on a shelf, on the counter, on the desk.. anywhere.. and she will find it! She climbs in it and knocks it over. She pulls everything out of it and drags garbage all over the house. She plays with the bag in it. The other day I put it on a shelf thinking she couldn't get it.. I was wrong. I heard a crash and saw her run out of the garbage can doing the weasel war dance and dooking VERY loudly! She tried to knock it over and fell down with it (inside it) in the process. She must have fallen almost 3 feet inside the garbage can. I was afraid she would hurt herself, but she was having the time of her life!
She will stop at nothing to get that garbage can...

Maybe try putting it up higher ;D We had to put ours up on top of the fridge so they couldn't get at it I'd be terrified of her eating something that could cause a blockage.
