i dont post very often on this forum, cause well nothing really ever changes and between housework, homework, college& actually spending time w. molson (my baby boy) and cali (my stupid dog) there just isnt much time, but i got this idea a while ago and i was so excited, i couldnt wait to try it! i hope it works out well, i thought it would be fun for the tunnel to come out of his cage without him being able to actually be loose. ofcourse while i was setting it up, molson kept running around in it and now that it's done, he's sleeping anyways, sorry for the lack of bedding, it's getting washed!

That's a good idea! Just make sure all the areas where you've cut the cage are secured, so he can't squeeze out there. Because if they even THINK there's a chance, sooner or later they will ;D

i didnt have to cut the cage my cage came with a random roof sliding door that i thought was useless...but looks like it was a good idea after all! you can see where the tube goes out, well i technacly looped it, it was a snug fit and there is no way for molson to reach that door besides being inside the tubes. i made sure it was all tied down and solid and escape free!

Ok, at first I thought it was an FN ;D You can pick up dryer flanges for them. It secures the space entirely. Can't find the pics right now, but they attach to either side, are white and square, and the tubes will fit right through them As it is, however- he's going to really enjoy himself

Nono, I don't mean the tube itself- just the flange I wouldn't use a metal dryer tube either- they can rip through those far to easily

ooh, yah the marshall tube seems really strong, his claws dont go through or even rip when he climbs up so i have faith lol. i dont remember the name of my cage, its somewhat similar to a FN, the FN might be bigger, but im happy with what i got and it was cheaper than the FN

It's a feisty ferret cage. Has a small opening in the top.
Great idea! I bet the fuzz will love it!

Remember to check your marshals tubing on a regular basis. My guys totally destroyed mine....both of them. The funny thing was I didn't realize they had dug, scratched or chewed their way through it until I had one pop out at me half way through the tube. So do be careful, those holes are hard to see. Really nice set up though ciao

I was just thinking- something like this could likely be hooked up safely so he could enjoy it while you are in bed, if done properly: www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-FerreTrail-Fun-nel-Playground/dp/B0002DJGSWYou'd need a bit more than is in there, but you can also buy the pieces separately, and using enough elbows, you could run them in an oval on top of the cage.

i tried to get a photo of when he's in there, but he only uses it when we're not there! lol. if i go near his cage he comes running to me, i've caught him a couple times in there but he notices me and runs out we can hear him go in the tube at night, he makes a lot of noise so i think i'm going to block it off cause its annoying lol. i put his cage by the patio door since thats where the sun comes in through and he goes in the tubes on the roof and lays out in the sun
