How do I even begin...
I look into the eyes of my little ones... and no matter how much I try and prepare myself for the day they are ready to leave this world, I feel as though I will never be ready for them to leave. It would be selfish of me to keep them though. I have yet to know what the feeling is like to lose a companion... a friend.
For all of those who have... for those who have lost a beloved little one, I cried this very night for all of you who have ever had to go through that. I thought about all of the poor little ones who have crossed... I cry for them too, but because I know there is a human who misses them. I have to remind myself that they are in a better place waiting to one day be reunited with those that love them. They are free from their physical form that bound them to this physical world. They don't feel pain and don't have to worry about anything anymore.
I don't even know how to explain my deepest feelings in words very well, but I feel music does just that (for me at least). So, I have decided to dedicate a thread of music for those who have ever lost a precious little one. Tonight, their souls shine bright through the stars and their faces can be seen on the moon. Little tickles on your cheeks from their whiskers and soft kisses will be felt, and a warmth that you haven't felt since you held them for the last time. This is for all of you and your little ones up in the sky... we miss you, we love you, and we will always remember you.
They look up at you with a look in their eyes that you have never seen before...one that you have dreaded. They are telling you they are ready. You exchange your last goodbyes and dread the day they finally leave you:
Making the journey... the healing for both of you begins:
The Rainbow Bridge: They are in unfamiliar surroundings, but start to recognize familiar faces. They expect to feel pain, but realize they are young and full of vigor again. Nothing can stop them now or hold them back. They are free:
Moving on, but will never be forgotten. In your heart and mind... forever. For those fond, but distant memories. *Note: I love the way these songs progress from sadness and missing them, to remembering them when they were alive and all the little things they did. A smile begins to show through those tears.*:
Feel free to post any music that makes you think of your ferrets, when they were alive, to express your feelings of sorrow, and how much you miss them/love them.
