I hope it's correct to post this here. I volunteer at the MSPCA Angell animal shelter in Jamaica Plain, and they have ferrets there for adoption now. They fairly rarely have ferrets, so they may not be on people's radar. And right now they have a baby! Rufio is an adorable 4 month old found abandoned in a parking lot. He's a male, and I think he's a cinnamon, I know he's beautiful. Here's his Petfinder with pic: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/21979868 He is full of baby energy and totally irresistible! He is mouthy and will need someone patient to teach him not to mouth humans. They also have a trio of 3 year old boys. Two silvers and one unusual sable. Body's black, white bib, white blaze on the back of his neck- reminds me of a cute skunk. www.petfinder.com/petdetail/22074826 These boys are unbelievably sweet, perfect manners, didn't even bite when I took them out to play after days in the cage. The silvers are cuddly, the sable is more playful. All 3 are fluffy and soft. They came with a food so junky I'd never even heard of it and their poop smells like corn, ugh. But what an amazing insta-family! To find out more about them, contact Angell directly, info is at the Petfinder links.

Posting it here is most certainly fine!!! Adorable baby boy, but he looks thin in the pictures As for the other three- what are the odds they'll listen and only adopt them out together? Because breaking up a bonded group can result in the little ones going into severe depression.

The baby, Rufio, felt okay weight to me last week when I held him; this week he was asleep and I wasn't allowed to let him out with the others so I didn't want to wake him then make him stay in his cage. He could be skinny. ETA: Oh, I just looked at the body pic again- that is a crazy effect of the light and his coat, he is definitely not deathly thin like that pic looks! At worst he's slightly underweight. The triplets, I asked a staff member just "are you going to keep them together," and she said they'd do everything possible and told me a story about how years ago when they adopted out a pair from a bonded triple the third did poorly and they made the adopter bring her brothers back. So she said they would not do that again. I was very encouraged that she volunteered all that from my question. ;D I shared your worry about them breaking them up- three ferrets is quite the instant ferret family to find a place for! But these boys are so sweet I have high hopes for them.

Oh, good! So at least they are aware of the risks. That's nice of them
