They are probably lying about their ages sadly. Happens a LOT.

Gah, I'm sorry. I know how it feels. I just tried to rescue a pair someone was giving away but it looks like someone else took them. I hope they weren't used as feeders. Heather, I wish I had your kind of luck. I've been posting that I'm looking for some time but it simply never works out for me. I'm beginning to think it's almost as if ferrets are suddenly in short supply where I live.

Candice, I noticed when we were looking for our third ferret that suddenly...ferrets were non existent haha! Then one day I looked and there he was. =D
However, when we can't take any in, they are all over the place! Poor things.
I agree it is sad there are ferrets to be rehomed so often, and I know those two were probably lying about their ages, but either way...I wanted them.

It's getting really depressing because I want one to make me laugh, and to be a playfellow for Forest (he's more ferret than cat, honestly - he's got feral blood so he's full of vinegar and loves ferrets).

Awww. I'm sure you'll find one...or two. I've noticed it's more often they come in pairs than by themselves.
Best of luck darling =]
