He's taken to sleeping in the litter box : / any tips on discouraging him? Has he learned to use it properly? Are you using a new litter (different from what he was used to)? My girl Dixie did this, but grew out of it really quickly once she learned it's a potty spot.

Yes he's been using it consistently. One accident in two days! The litter he was on at the store was yesterdays news and I use stove pellets.. not that different :S I try to pick him out of the litter and put him back in a bed when I see him sleeping in there.

My Finn used to sleep in the litterbox. I would set up a 2nd one so he has a good place to potty and doesn't have to sleep in potty. He will probably grow out of it Make sure he has a comfortable bed that is at least as comfortable as the litterbox or more so ;D

Has Finn stopped using the litter box for a bed? ciao Finn did eventually stop sleeping in the litterbox. He switched it to a food storage box for a couple months. Then just recently, I let the other 2 litterboxes get too dirty, and SOMEONE (probably girlie Fiona who is very picky) decided to start pooping in his "food box". Then he didn't store food in there any more I am thinking I should clean it out thoroughly with soap and bleach and see if it can go back to being a food box. He really liked it so much So maybe baby Dorian will grow out of it too? You could set him up a really cozy bed, something sheltered and enclosed, and when you find him sleeping in the litterbox, gently move him into the sleeping bed. This has worked for some people to train them to sleep somewhere nicer
