This is Moxie's first DFS. I was taking body pictures 2 weeks after we got them and she just would not wake up! Bella does it, too. She fell asleep while holding her and just ptfo'd! And my Copper Dopper, my heart ferret. He trusted us implicitly. He was such a snuggler, he'd DFS almost at will in your arms. I miss him so much. He was a dreamer, too.

Not sure, but the best description I ever heard was from bitbyter To paraphrase... These are the times that they are visiting their friends who have passed, and are at the bridge.

Last night, my big guy Rusty was sleeping half out of the hammock and wouldn't wake up when I talked to him or pet him. This is unusual for him so I got worried and picked him up, just in time for him to slowly wake up and lick my arm.

azaelia That's the best times to pick them up, curl up with a blanket on the couch and a sleeping ferret in your arms. Mine will continue sleeping like that for a while and when they wake up, bathe my face in kisses until I'm almost dripping, LOL.

I had a ferret that would ALWAYS be in dead sleep. If she was sleeping it was a dead sleep. I'm pretty sure it was because she was deaf.
