It looks ok- I guess nothing is as good as the ferret nation but it does the job it needs to do if your on a budget... It will be harder to clean out with it only having 2 doors but I'm sure u can just work around that. It's got good reviews.

Uh oh, mixed reviews, lol . I don't mind having to "get in there" to clean it out, so I don't think the doors will be that big of a deal (I hope). Also, I already planned on getting floor/ramp covers (or making some). That helps with the wire issue, yes? It definitely looks prettier with them on there but I think it's functional too... That being the case, would this work out? I know the Ferret Nation is only like $39 more, so it's still an option... Any other pluses between the Ferret Nation compared to the Feisty Ferret that I should know about?

I don't know all that much about ferret nations- all I know is that they are very popular over there (im in the uk- I keep mine outdoors).
I'll leave it to the ferret nation professionals to tell you the pros and cons :-)
I think for the extra money I personally would buy the ferret nation.

What I like more about the feisty ferret is you can hang hamocks off where the second door would be on the ferret nation. But I would still never trade me ferret nations for that cage.

I don't mind having to "get in there" to clean it out, so I don't think the doors will be that big of a deal (I hope). You say that now! ;D I've seen just about every cage in person through work, and the Feisty is a cheaper cousin to the Ferret Nation. It's miles beyond a plastic Super Pet cage, but it's still miles behind the FN. In my opinion, if you're willing to make some modifications, the Feisty would be okay for one or two ferrets. It'd be cramped for three unless it was only for eating and sleeping. I'll break this out again... The FN is quite a bit bigger, which can be hard to tell from separate photos. And both front doors open, instead of just the one on the Feisty. And you can always add on to the FN in the future... the Feisty isn't modular. Basically, if you've got the funds, get a Ferret Nation!

The ferret nation and Critter nation are great! The critter nation is just like the ferret nation just a tad bit bigger just by a few inches.

The FN is worth the money, trust me you think cleaning cages out won't be that bad, but it really is. I've had 5 different cages over the years, you want something really easy to get into all parts of and something sturdy. For the small amount of price difference I would go for the better setup.

The shelves look make the cage look very cluttered and would make it hard for multiple ferrets to move about

Thank you all for the advice! It looks like the people I was getting some ferrets from completely flaked on me, and coincidentally the Ferret Nation cage I want (that you all talked me into, because you're so totally right) is on backorder from the manufacturer everywhere until February, so I'll just start saving up and when they come back in stock I'll get the good cage and then get some ferrets . This gives me more time to plan and make all the ramp/platform covers anyway, so I suppose it works out .

It's on backorder again? Aargh, Midwest is terrible about that. They're not a big company.
If you get one of the new 180 series, it will include a set of ramp covers. If you end up getting a used FN off Craigslist or wherever first, you'll have to do some checking to see if it's a 140 or 180 and what style shelves it has.
...We should really have a sticky about the different FN versions.
