I got 1000 mg softgels and I read the dose is .5mg? Would that be 5 drops per ferret once a week? I got it mainly for Eva's Adrenal but am going to give it to everyone.

If you're only going to give it once a week....I would do as Bev suggested. You're never going to get all of the dose out of the capsul anyway ciao

I dosed them all 1 by 1 and they each licked the plate clean even Eva who's never had it before. :-)

just out of interest, do you buy fish oil capsules specifically made for ferrets?

Same here. I buy triple fish oil capsules. Avoid cod liver oil Pinkstar, even in cap form. Too much vitamin A for them.

Oh lord. So he's barely getting any! LOL. I wonder if the grizzly salmon oil has a lot of metals in it. Jennifer (mustelidmusk) directed me to wellvet.com recently and she said she uses the Super EPA fish oil. It sounds good. She says she uses it on her ferrets.

I think it's more the actual flesh that has the problems with the toxins, rather than the oil. But don't quote me on that!
