Internet Explorer. The message I get is that Internet Explorer can't connect as the server is busy. You might need to clear the browser cache. Most people never do it and it can fix an amazingly large number of problems. Here's a link that will give you direction on multiple browsers and versions: kb.iu.edu/data/ahic.html

That is the first thing they'll suggest. Let me know if that's worked or not.

Okay, I did that,,,I'm one of those who didn't know it was necessary.<G> That apparently didn't help, or there is still a problem, as I had to hit F5 a couple times before I could login. The message I'm now getting is: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.

Joan, maybe try another browser? Firefox & Google Chrome are other options. I know IE can have issues in and of itself sometimes.

That's exactly what they ask you do. Hi, Have her install a different web browser and see if that helps, such as Google Chrome. If the forum works fine for her with Chrome but doesn't work with IE, there may be something installed on her computer that's preventing IE from working properly with your forum. On the flip side, if she installs Chrome and continues to have problems loading your forum with that, then that would signal a connection issue on her end that we would have to diagnose. But have her try using a new fresh web browser and see how that works out for her

I tried both of those with my last computer and they screwed it up royally. Guess I'll just grit my teeth and keep hitting F5.

Maybe try Opera?
I have to say I've never really encountered issues with Firefox or google chrome. They've both been really good browsers. Could you have possibly have a virus, and it seemed like the browser?

I had a major problem with FF as well. My user account kept corrupting. I had to redo the entire thing every 2-3 months. Cliff's, on the other had, was fine. I have had this happen once with google, but that's it.
