I'd rather spend $280 on vet appointments and microchipping etc if I didn't have school 6 hours a day mine would be free ranged. Only 2 doors open but I still find it really easy to clean

Mine free range around the ferret proofed part of the house when I'm st tafe :3 the cost of the cage really depends on how much I get paid this week and how much I can save. Right now the cheaper the better but I really want something that's gonna last outside as well

Wish I could have gotten my FN's for $280 ;D But the only real other options here are such a pain to clean! Nor are they as safe.

How much are they where you are Sherry? This one is on eBay so I'm not sure if it's RRP.. I think I'd prefer one because they have the middle full shelf.
I think I might be able to add the shelves from my current cage too, not quite sure.

Did you look at the links I posted to the ferret explorer? Its cheaper, brand new, all 4 doors open, and its doesn't have wire levels.

I did have a look is it practically the same? The only reason I think I wouldn't get it would be because of the shipping - the cage would be around $270 aud plus shipping! Edit- I just checked and it doesn't ship to Australia and it would be $281

It is virtually the same as the FN/FK. The FE is Better then the FK but not as good as FN.

We paid $300 for our first FN 142 on sale. $325 for the second 142 on sale. And including shipping, $180 for the 143 I saw one in Petland a short while back. They were charging $500!!! But you know something? For me, they were worth every single penny. I'd frequently heard of the superpets as being "deathtraps" with the way they've been known to collapse, or have the clips that attach them break, and a ferret gets a leg stuck, and winds up hanging there. That, plus ours could pop open the doors and escape

So I looked into it further and apparently the FK is pretty much exactly like the FE. The one in the outdoor pic is just missing parts.

In the description it says that it comes with "4 high quality stainless steel food / water dishes (can be positioned anywhere in the cage) Two large platforms (extra platforms sold separately) Two hammocks (extra hammocks sold separately) It has 2 deep slide out trays for easy cleaning (additional trays sold separately), 3 internal ramps / ladders, 1 external ramp which leads from the lower level to outside the cage (ground level) Removable stand complete with large storage shelf "
Is that what comes with a FN?

Ferret Nations don't come with dishes, hammocks, or the exterior ramp. The stand isn't technically removable, either. They do come with one solid bottom pan, one shelf/platform (also with solid pan), and one interior ramp (plus ramp cover) per level. So nothing in the FN is uncovered wire anymore.

No I'm taking about the Ferret Kingdom. Nothing comes with the Ferret Nation except ramp covers.
