I figured it was time to run through my flickr account and show off my kids, then I realized there are so many good ones (of course, I'm biased) I had a hard time scaling it down ;D.
To start, Mokkun...he was our original fert, when my husband told me he wanted one I tracked him down on craigslist and saved him from a pretty crappy living situation and it's been love ever since. He's the ringleader, our resident brilliant trouble-maker, and a big cuddler.
Being held by a friend:
Catching snowflakes:
Lovin' the snow:
Helping out with some calculus:
After having him a couple months, we decided he needed a buddy so we went to the Washington Ferret Rescue (Valentine's Day two years ago!) and he immediately hit it off with Akiko, our deaf little firecracker.
Cuddlin':
Being suffocated:
Lemme out!!:
Yawning or cussing me out?:
Caught!:
My husband left for Iraq not long after we got Akiko, and that summer I decided they needed another buddy to have the perfect number of ferrets (3!) so for my birthday I picked Tadakichi up off Craigslist. J wasn't thrilled with my choice and still calls him "The Football"...he's a rolly-polly, cuddly, happy but needy oaf that has a bad habit of trying to lay on feet while they're moving . He has a secret sinister, evil genius side that he keeps well hidden most of the time.
Stalking the camera:
Sleeping:
Winter belly!:
Ticklish and doing the reverse Pepe Le Pew:
He loves playing in dad's clothes:
Him and Mokkun sharing some bro-mance:
A shot of our Ovana (RIP), she was rescued naked and cold from a really awful living situation and only with us for a year before passing on from insulinoma, but during that year she really blossomed into a sweet, beautiful girl.
And a shot of all four...we don't often let them in the office, but sometimes I'll let them sneak in and they always act like they're getting away with something, even though they usually just have a slumber party in the corner behind the desk ;D:
