I used to have a great blender that mushed up raw bones and whole chicken thighs like nothing. I had to leave it behind when I moved from Ontario and I just broke my roomates blender. We got a new one, but I wanna get one specifically for soup making.
Does anyone have suggestions as to a good and very powerful blender?

To be honest, I've never heard of a blender that does bones at all, so I'm no help to you What was the brand of the one you used there?

Blendtec makes blenders that will blend anything, provided you're willing to spend at least a few hundred bucks: www.blendtec.com/There are videos on youtube, look for "Will it blend?" and you will see their blenders blend all kinds of crazy things!

Really? I've never heard of Blendtec but I've heard that Vitamix (insane prices) can blend and even cook almost anything.

Well I used to have an older Oster blender and I could put chicken legs in there and it could turn it into liquid. Now I have a blender that does nicely with chicken backs but thats it. Hoping to get her onto whole bones asap.

the way i got my guys to eat bone was chicken wings, just take one crack up the bone with a hammer, i mean in the wing tip the bone is unavoidable and in the middle part its the same deal so i find it works pretty nicely
