What are those curvy hook things(like the post above) called? And where do you get them? They seem super useful.

Feeding dens are pretty basic, and yet there are a number of ideas on here already. Basically tote or carboard

I was thinking litter box upside down? Or plastic shoe box?

No reason why not. It all depends on whether or not it's deemed suitable by YOUR ferrets

Sherry, et al, thanks so much for the info! Now I understand why Pippin's stashing chunks of meat in his tent. I tried moving them back to his food dish, but he just takes them back to the tent. This morning I put his dish in the tent and he went inside to eat. I'll have to wash the sleeping bag more frequently, at least until I put together something plastic with shower hooks, but with his previous behavior, that was the de facto reality anyway. Thanks for making sense of my polekid's behavior. This is how he used the tent before he went raw and converted it to a dining room.

Mine is a cheap & easy den...a bin I had sitting around that River can fit under. It keeps her from moving her food all over the cage, anyway! Pardon the fuzzy butt...she had a frog leg in there yesterday and NOTHING would get between her and it! LOL

I finally got around to making my feeding dens... It was SOOOOO easier than I thought it was going to be.... With the gray one..... I took a big can of Pumpkin..... Cleaned the can out.... put the can on the stove eye and let it heat up... only took about a min.. then with pot holders I picked the can up and positioned it where I wanted the hole and pushed it through..... Perfect hole with smooth edges..... Then I took a long thick nail and did the same on the stove and pushed it through the top and added hooks...... With the Black one I used a coffee can to make the hole as my Gus Gus is a large Man Ferret... LOL

@ladyzinn that is genius! I will definitely be using your tactic for my feeding den.

@abbylee22 and @ladyzinn I just remembered I have a gas stove which would not be so easy to do! Do you have any suggestions on how I can do it differently?
