Like a couple of ferrets that could really use a new home. The adventure starts on Craigslist, where I saw a post asking for help clipping ferret nails, and seeing it was on Fort Lewis I responded, found out it's another military wife, and I offered to bring my kids down for a play date and clipping lessons.
Basically she picked them up for free on Craigslist about a month ago and knows nothing about them other than the previous owner told her to use alder bedding and feed them a cat food with chicken as the first ingredient, and they're getting Whiskas. I did my best to be informative and non-judgemental since we're all beginners at some point but I don't know how much of what I said sunk in...she's got her plate full with a baby, a couple of puppies, and a kitten, so she's already talking a lot about rehoming them again and it sounds like for free as long as they're going to someone that knows more about them than she does. They smell bad, their fur is brittle, and their whiskers are short but I can tell they'll clean up beautifully with proper care. Only thing is, my husband's already told me no more ferts a bunch of times, so I'm wondering if there's anyone here and in the Northwest that has room for a couple more? If she's as willing to rehome as she seemed, I'm willing to help transport and meet someone within a reasonable distance.
Looking at their teeth, I'm estimating they're both appx. 1 year old...they're pretty good sized boys, and their teeth are opaque except one tooth on one had a hint of transparency on the very tip. Both got along great with my guys.
Spaz - Black sable, altered male, no visible identifying tattoos/marks. Short white finger mitts, white spots on his kneecaps, his legs and tail are super-black, sweet but super-playful/spaztic (hence the name).
Taz - Brown/tan sable, altered male, two Marshall's dots in the ear, shy and skittish with people, but sweet and curious once caught.
