Alright great! So I would get chicken wing and try smashing it with a hammer and cut it up small. See if anyone takes to it. Make sure they're hungry (take kibble away 4 hours before). Let me know how that goes

I had a busy day yesterday. We had to drive a friend to the hospital. We also had to take our puppy to get micro-chipped and get some heart worm prevention medication. Poor thing almost got ripped apart by two or three pit bulls with mindless owners. I had to hold him the hole time. The only reason they took their dog to the vet was because it was court ordered. Pit bulls are such good dogs its people that taint the name of the breed. ok sorry for the rant I am done. What I did was I thawed a very small chicken breast and cut it into all different sized chunks to see what would happen. Edward: She took to It right off the bat as soon as I told her it was ok to eat she ate it. If there was kibble there she would have eaten that most likely just because its easier to chew. I gave her the food bowl she eats out of and mixed a small bit of kibble in with the chicken and she ate the kibble and then she ate the chicken. Hooligan: would not eat it not matter how many times I did the scruff and stuff he spit it out every time. It was in his mouth and he got a taste but he wanted nothing to do with it. Igor: was every interested in it he ate quite a bit not as much as Edward but he ate it. Its weird now though Its like he doesn't know what he should eat I offer him kibble he eats some but not to much I give him chicken he eats some and then he is over it. Its like he doesn't know what he wants to eat. This morning I didn't have anything defrosted and I needed to be out the door fast so a gave then kibble and he was not really eating it. I know he is not sick he was eating fine the day before he was happy and running and playing at play time so I don't know. It like when I give I kibble he wants chicken and when I give him chicken he wants kibble. I think Ill try soup to night can you give me a recipe?

8 oz raw chicken thigh meat (including skin and fat) 1/2 tsp of crushed eggshell powder (take a raw eggshell. Rinse it out. Let it dry. Crush to powder) 1 raw chicken heart 1/2 raw chicken liver Water or broth(use more to make it soupier, less to make it thicker) Blend ingredients together. Some prefer it at room temp. Try putting a dollop of "soup" onto your ferret's nose and they probably will lick it off. I use my finger. Sometimes this takes a little bit trying to convince them that you're not trying to poison them I find within a very short time they're licking this off my finger. When I see that they're willing to eat freely off my finger then I use a small spoon to try and get them to eat from that. Try to get them eating the soupy on their own. It might pique their interest. If you don't have all of the stuff don't worry

Hooligan: would not eat it not matter how many times I did the scruff and stuff he spit it out every time. It was in his mouth and he got a taste but he wanted nothing to do with it. I think soup is the next step for him. Let's see if he takes to the raw soup fine. If so, we can start making it chunkier and thicker. If he refuses the raw soup, we may have to backtrack and add some kibble to the soup. He is having issues deciding If he is eating the raw chunks, it might just be sometimes he's not hungry, or just wants some kibble. I would continue to feed him chunks and keep taking away the kibble before you feed the raw so he is nice and hungry.

Edward: has been eating wings bone and all she also had some heart. Igor: is being lazy he only wants to eat the meat he chews on the bones a little too. he also had some heart. hooligan: Wont eat the soup even if there is kibble in it. he is acting weird he hasn't been wanting to eat anything if the other ferrets are eating meat. Then when I picked him up yesterday he didn't wake up I had to blow on his face to get him up. should I be worried that he is getting weak from not eating?

Try smashing the wing bone got igor. That way he has no choice to eat some bone smash it as well as you can Ss for Hooligan, is he eating kibble still? If so, give him his kibble for now. Will he take pure kibble soup?

Igor: ill try to smash the bone up i am sure he will do good with that. Edward: All she wants is meat now I am happy about that but her poop is yellowish. witch is freaking me out. hooligan: seems depressed He plays fine at playtime he runs around but he doesn't really want the kibble but I will try the kibble mash. I don't know what his problem is.

Igor- let me know how he does. The bone marrow inside the bones is really tastey and once he gets a taste hopefully he'll be hooked.
Edward - when you say yellow, would you also describe it as seedy? It's likely do to the increase in fat and should pass as she gets adjusted to the food. Are they formed or really liquidy? Keep an eye on it and let me know if they improve. Does she eat a lot of chicken skin?
Hooligan - he could be depressed. Do you have any bachs rescue remedy? You can buy it online (get the pet version) or sometimes in health and small pet stores. It can help him relax. What will he eat now?

So to make sure Hooligan is getting enough nutrition, I would make some soup for him. You can make the soup from kibble or from plain chicken baby food (really whatever he will eat right now). Scruff him until he licks the soup from your finger or a spoon. He needs to get something in his tummy. How are his stools?

hooligan: He is getting out of his funk I made soup for Igor and Eward with turkey chicken liver olive oil one egg and a dried crushed egg shell. They all loved it even hooligan ate a spoon full. I even caught him licking at the meat I left in their cage. He is getting whatever he wants to eat right know he is super picky about what he eats and its really hard to keep him at a good weight so I am taking it really slow right now.
Igor: although he is the slowest eater in the world he is eating everything I give him but I gave them beef last night and they didn't seem to like it Ill see when i get home if they ate what i left in the cage for them.
Edward: loves meat wants noting but meat will fight any ferret to the death to get meat. poop I slowly getting better I am trying to cut down on skin. She has put on a lot of weight not a unhealthy amount. She is growing and its what she needs so I think Its a good thing.
I thought I had a hammer but I don't. I need to buy one. I am freaked out about them not getting all the bone and organ meat they need they haven't had heart for a long time and Its hard to find. I ran out of olive oil and Edward and Igor are making coughing hair ball noises so I am freaking out about that. I have been sick for a week haven't been to the store and I think they really need their pumpkin. I think I am ready to put Igor and Edward on a feeding schedule of well balanced meals so I would like to get into that more. also If you could make the schedule of all they need in a week so It would be easy to print and put on the refrigerator that would be AWESOME! you don't have to specify meats as I will be changing It up as much as I can.
Ps. sorry I haven't posted for so long I am still fully committed to getting them healthy and on raw.
pps. hooligan and Igor's Poop seems fine to me

That's great news about Hooligan!! How is his energy level? If it's good I would start removing the kibble 3-4 hours before you feed any raw. That should help make him hungry As for Igor and Edward, are they eating bone in meats yet? If so, we can work out a schedule for them both. They should have 8-9 bone in meals, 4-5 boneless meals, and 1 organ meal a week. Here is a basic menu, fill it in with whatever meats, rearrange it to fit your schedule M: AM bone in meat PM: boneless meat T: AM bone in meat PM boneless meat W: AM bone in meat PM: organ meat (50% liver, 50% other) R: AM bone in meat PM bone in meat F: AM bone in meat PM heart meal S: AM bone in meat PM boneless meat SUN: AM bone in meat PM bone in meat OR boneless meat
