You would be surprised by the number of students we've had who fully intended to simply supplement with raw. Until the ferrets started holding out after a while on kibble days ;D

Personally I'd suggest that if your ferret shows interest in raw meaty bones or whole prey that you simply phase out the kibble altogether. There are freeze dried and dehydrated options for emergencies and vacations that will still allow other caretakers to feed if they are squeamish about raw and prey. Besides the noted gastric upset that kibble causes keep in mind that often they are full of sweeteners that keep the ferret addicted to crunching them! Nix the kebbles as soon as you can and your ferrets will bloom!
