Soo... I might be getting another ferret nation. I found one on craigslist for $75. Guy says go no defects or broken parts, etc. Might be taking a look at it in a couple days. Anyway, how did you guys attached your two FNs together? What's the easiest way to do it? Dreaming of a double wide

To do it without damaging the FN's, you can leave out one sidewall(either top or bottom), and sip tie them together. It's always a good idea to leave ONE section intact for a sick cage if needed.

Not a problem I'd actually leave the top intact, and remove the bottom inside walls. Kind of gives them two separate areas- one for sleeping, one for eating, and the bottom for pottying and playing!

I could only wish! I've got 2 FN's alright, but also 3 very dominant females who refuse to play nice so most def. no cage time together.

You could also cut holes in the sides and connect them via tunnel.

I have a 3-story double-wide. I left the the common side panels out on all 3 levels. I keep the ramps between levels closed on one side of the cage so that the shelf on the closed up sides are not pathways (room for more bedding. If II need to isolate a brat. I close up the ramp and give the isolated fert the top floor. I used zip-ties to hold the cages together. If you keep the center walls out on all levels, you may find it more difficult to hang bedding depending upon bedding type and/or stuff you have in the cage. I recommend figuring out how you want to arrange your cage "furniture (EXACTLY where to place every hook etc. before you decide to take all center walls out on all 3 levels. What do you want a picture of??? the zip ties? the entire unit One level? An assortment? I'll see if I can demonstrate where hanging something might be difficult. Scroll down for a picture. -jennifer Attachments:

I did mine a little different. I made new bars up that match all the holes where the bottom mesh fits into. So mine is bolted together rather than the zip ties. Any welding place can do it, and powder coat it. Attachments:

I'd love to see more pics or "how to's" on double wides!
We'll be redoing the ferret room this summer, and were thinking of putting a couple of the cages together since we have to take them apart anyway for moving (good time to clean too!).
Although I'd worry about the gaps between the cages, especially with the trays they have now don't exactly fit tightly. Or having one cage be a little off vertically from the other one.
