I let my kids out to play and when I am about to put them up I cut up their food or make their soup or whatever they are eating and they just know. They cant even Handel it they will follow me all over the house as if they are asking whats for dinner whats for dinner. Then when ever thing is done I put the meat down for one of them to see what it is. Even If they are not all around me they all know and I have my business following me all around. Its so flippin cute. When I put the meat in the cage they wont even get in they all just sit there looking up at me. Like mom pick us up we cant get to the meat that fast without you. The funny part is they all just lick it or take two bites and go to sleep. They are so funny. What do your kids do when they know its time to eat?

Willow bites She's cranky when hungry! As soon as I start cleaning litter boxes, whichever group is downstairs follows me, then when I put the box back in the cage, they run up to the level the food is on, find nothing yet, come out and follow me some more, looking up to see if their food has somehow magically appeared in my hands before I even go into the kitchen ;D

I used to have all mine trained that when I came to the gate with bowls, they had to back up from the gate, give me room to open it and come in without them making a break for freedom, and wait for me to put the soup bowls down.
That's mostly lost with the chaos of trying to switch them to raw. Will still does it. Snorri and Dominique just go stand by their food dish and give me big pathetic eyes.

All three of mine will run up and down the levels of their cage and look for their food bowls in their feeding spots. If it isn't there, they run back down, find me, and look at me with the pity, guilt-trip eyes...lol

Pixel eats cat kibble, and she always has food in her bowl 24/7. Whenever it's empty I refill it. Usually 1 small bowl lasts her 2 days. Plus when she's out of her cage she eats the food directly in the bag by sticking her head inside and "stealing" it.

Sonny usually hears the clinking of the ceramic bowl in the kitchen. he can be at the far end of the house playing and he will stop in his tracks when he hears the plate. then he runs to the kitchen and stands near me with his nose up in the air sniffing. then he does this run/hop (very excited and animated) right along side me as i walk with his bowl to the family room (he eats in front of the t.v. cabinet because when he is done he likes to smear his face on the cabinet and on the carpet.

When it is soup time in my house they all seem to know it too. The same time every night, I will have 6 or 7 fuzzies following me around. Getting under my feet, anything to get their soupie faster. Indy will lay on his back, almost saying, "I'm starving, look at my poor belly". He is a goof.
