Okay I will be sure to keep a close eye. After he eats his pumpkin at 11 I am going to take him out again. They aren't really cooped up, I have them in a double ferret nation cage attached to the larger Marshall ferret play pen. But, they seem to play more when I let them out. I stay in the bedroom with them while they play and exercise to make sure they don't get into anything. I am going to also try putting him in some warm bathwater ( since he always makes sure to poop in the rare baths that he does get, every time!!! ) I am just hoping and praying this all works. I can't say it enough how appreciative I am everyones help and concern.

That's so weird, I replied earlier but I guess it didn't post! He did make a poopie!!! And it's a pretty good sized one too! Way wider. Pumpkin consistency mixed with normal consistency and some weird stuff and some Vaseline came out last. I took it apart and there was some hair in it. I will continue the Vaseline and pumpkin treatment for the night, give him as much syringe fed water as he will take ( not that he isn't drinking, he just likes to drink out of syringes for some reason and that way I KNOW what hes taking in) I will continue to monitor him for the next few hours until I am forced to sleep ( work in the morning, ugh! ) My boyfriend will continue to monitor him and feed him while I am away.

I"m so glad for you....yes, keep it going for a while yet....you can even just use pumpkin which is better for him than the vaseline (which prevents absorption of nutrients) Keep a close eye on him, any change might mean a floating blockage. ciao

I'm so glad he had a decent poop finally!!! And yes, you can likely go to just pumpkin for a couple of days to make sure it's all through. Like Heather said, keep a close eye fir several days in case it's floating. I think I'd give him at least 1/2 tsp of pumpkin a day once he's through this safely, at least while he's in shed.

if you have other ferrets, you might want to seperate him with a litter box, just in case

Thanks all! :)I will continue the pumpkin. I saw him eating dry food today, so that's good too! More good poops, and he's spunky. I will continue to monitor him closely, as always! Thanks again for your help and concern!
