It looks like they are feeding him some cheap dog food. I hope he works out with your family. I am sure he will be much much happier and healthier with you. GOOD LUCK!

He's yellow because he's not neutered. He will be white once he's fixed and his hormones die down, or he comes out of season.

I have seen white intact ferrets before though, never that yellow! must not be very common in the USA White ferrets are never white when in season . Their oils make them come out looking rather.....dingy You can wash them, but within a week or so they come out looking like they need another bath. They're white as was mentioned when they're either out of season, altered or on Des implant. Most of the ferrets that you see here and around, will look white because they're altered. No, that wee one doesn't look bad because of his colour but because he's so thin and his coat looks coarse and in poor condition (intact ferrets have a rather un-kept look about them but they still look healthy). Odin looked very yellow with dark yellow eye rings (we called it his make-up) but there was still a sheen to his coat and he carried gorgeous weight ciao ciao

Just got him home, it's too late for any photos. I swear he's a horse! I've never seen poop so big! And ate 100g of chicken chunks in less then 15 minutes... How is he so thin!?

Maybe...no one ever offered him real food?? or maybe fed him enough of it. I can't wait to see what you turn him into...you've done such awesome work with your other wee ones ciao

I'm so looking forward to seeing pictures, and congrats that he took to the raw so quickly! Poor little mite must be starving for nutrition as well as some good attention.

So far he's had all the chicken in my fridge, 5 wing tips, 5 pinkies (The only smaller whole prey I had) and is into a big bowl of turkey mince. Off to buy more food.

Hmmm, Minion too. It's almost like their bodies are signalling to try and make up for lost nutrients. ciao

Good to know it's somewhat 'normal' in these cases.
