Ok so i let rob out of his cage today and noticed that he is MUCH smaller then when we got him. when we got him a few months ago he was overwieght just by a little big because of not beingable to get out of his cage from previous owners. well, now he weighs as about as much as my girl tubesock and is about the same size. he was covered in pee and poo ( on his feet and lower body but not like tottally sick ferret covered) so i washed him and the minute his feet touched the warm water he peed. his pee is brownish! he has los t a lot of weight, i am going to weigh him soon, but he was sleeping in the pin( could be because i am trying to introduce tubesock to him so i put her in with him and coda) i put him in the pin with a towel and he pooped about a nickle size it is orangeish and a little bit mucousy. anyone know?. please help!

The urine sounds like he's dehydrated. Have you done a skin test? How much is he eating/drinking? Is this the first time you noticed that he's off? Do you have his original weights, so you can compare? He should be putting on weight at this time of year? Has he been coughing? Could he have a blockage? Is he eating at all? Are you hand feeding soupy at this point? Does he and Tubesock get along? Has she been bullying him and not letting him get to food and water? ciao

I know that the darker the pee, the more dehydrated... the first thing i did was give him some nice cool water and a lot of it, he drank it happily. my only problem is, he likes to snorkel! so he is breathing in water and drinking which cannot be good! i wonder if he knows how to use a water bottle O.O. This is the first i know of him being sickish, he did not get a chance out to play yesterday because i got home late and he gets to play seperatly because i am STILL introducing him to my other ferrets. i have one down 4 to go! he has not been coughing that i know of, not while i have been home at all, i have put a bowl of food in the pin and gave him water, also i am taking the play box out and tubesock goes back into her cage for a while. he COULD have a blockage, he likes to chew flip flops!!!!! i checked his belly, nothing feels out of place, it could also be hair his tummy seems a LITTLE tight but not out of the ordinary, i was also holding him and he still has trust issues with people so he tenses up when being picked up. i just gave him some fresh food and a bowl of water he did not eat it yet, but who knows! he could have been eating all day! his skin does seem a little loose. his original weight was 2.4 pounds when we got him , now he weighs 1.6 pounds NOT GOOD right? but i did the, weigh myself without ferret, then weigh myself with ferret thing. i don't know if that i sentirely correct but i would like some help! i do not have any soupies right now, but i will try to make some SOON. tubesock does not live with rob coda lives with rob., rob is in a seperate cage and coda has only been there for a few days so....

Is he in his own cage now? Make sure the litter is fresh and nothing in it. You need to know his output and fast. If he hasn't pooped in a couple of hours, I would be rushing him to the vet...if he's in the habit of chewing flip flops he has possibly consumed some. Have you got some pumpkin? vaseline? You need to get about 1 tablespoon of pumpkin into him ASAP and try and get some vaseline into him too. You need to create some type of soupy....I know that you can make it out of kibbles (I'm not sure of the procedure but water and kibble and a blender would be a good start). He will get more water out of a bowl than a bottle. If he's insistent in snorkelling and not drinking he may be feeling nauseas, especially if he's not being active. He's lost a lot of weight, he's sick. He needs to see a vet ciao

I have both pumpkin, and vasiline! yaay! i will make him soupies, i know the marshall ferret powdered soups are not as good as they are supposed to be... so i will make blend of my good food and maybe some vitamins and olive oil. SNORKLING He is deaf, he does it anyway!!!!! i read somewhere that deaf ferrets tend to snorkel, well he does! he has always snorkeld so i don't really care if he is doing it i just don't want him to inhale it! i gave him water and food, he is sleeping now after he wore himself out drying himself off and digging at a box. i will try to get him to the vet asap..
