Hi All!
I've been hanging on to every typed word, err, lurking on here for a while now and have learned sooooo very much I thought it was about time I actually signed up just so I could say Thanks
About Me: I just completed my practical nursing degree and am studying for my boards exam while continuing on for my Bachelors in Nursing. My SO just completed his college degree and our son is involved with just about everything a teenager can be, so we are a busy family. It's why we love to stay home every chance we get. I'm also a mama to one precious little weasel, who I think is the best little guy there is, but I am admittedly biased, he goes almost everywhere with us and enjoys it!
Here he is the day after we brought him home playing in the lawn:
We got him from a lady who had brought him home only to find out her husbands dog didn't really want to share the house. I'm glad we got him before anything bad happened. He'll be 5 months old in October. I swear he's tripled in size since we brought him home!
He eats 8-1 for his every day kibble but I've been attempting to supplement since I found all the excellent advice here backed by science. I tried soupies first and he just liked the way they splashed on the floor. I also tried an egg, which he L O V E D but only if he could lick it off the floor, no go on a plate even.
The last two days I've been mixing in chicken bits and bits of chopped chicken livers and he just goes nuts! Loves it!
My hope is that he will primarily eat raw, my SO has veto'd the whole prey or frankenfood idea and wants to stick with kibbles so I'm meeting in the middle. I will still have kibble available but he already loves what I've tried so far so I'm anticipating minimal issue feeding a combination.
Just because he's adorable, here is a picture of him with his "What, this isn't a bag of toys?" face
Nice to meet you!

edit: ok so my picture links didnt work, trying again :/ HaHa! Fixed it!
