As of 9/28/11 I will not be accepting any orders for DerbyEggs. I am hoping to have enough eggs to go around for everyone at Christmas time as they have become such a big hit for fuzzies everywhere needing their "DerbyEgg fix" eggs for sending to ferrets in shelters, and for the newest DerbyEgg fans coming on board. After all, what ferret stocking would be complete without a brand new DerbyEgg in it?? If you would like to be added to a list for wanting DerbyEggs, email me as I will be compiling a list of names for fuzzies wanting eggs once have more available. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for anyone. And not to worry, any and all outstanding orders pending will be filled. ~Karen The Crocheted Ferret www.thecrochetedferret.comHome of the famous DerbyEggs. Over 999 dozen of my eggs have sold, making for a lot of happy ferrets and that many happy ferts can't be wrong.

Please tell me I'm misunderstanding this. It almost sounds like you are winding your business down? Please say that's not the case

I hope I can get some derby eggs for my boys at Christmas time. Would be more than happy to introduce your boys to my DerbyEggs. Just ask Sherry about my eggs, Mr. Boris has to have his egg every night, I think it is secretly his "passy" but keep that quiet, he might not want all his on-line lady fuzzy friends to know that little piece of juicy info. ;D ;D

Oh, it is indeed ;D And yes, I'm sure he'd be very embarrassed if anyone knew he had a passy

Oh, it is indeed ;D And yes, I'm sure he'd be very embarrassed if anyone knew he had a passy Ya know, we all laugh about it but these guys take their passion for their DerbyEggs quite seriously. At my house we have the ferrets and the cats, the cats love the eggs as well. When the ferrets are in their cages the cats will play with the DerbyEggs and stash them. Then when the ferrets are let out to play first thing they want is their eggs, the only problem with that is the cats have stashed them all. Ferrets go in search of them, find the stashed eggs by the cats so they steal them back, keep some to play with and stash some. Ferrets get put back in the cage later and then the cats are free to run and romp but where are the eggs??!! Those pesky cats, they have stashed our eggs again and the whole thing starts all over again. ;D ;D Living with both cats AND ferrets, it gets kinda wild around here sometimes.

Whereas my guys go through about a dozen a year! But that's because Boris chews himself to sleep with them ;D The rest just enjoy playing with and stashing them.
