Hello ! My name is Jill, i am 22 years old and lives in Denmark near Copenhagen. I wanted a ferret in all my teenage years, but had to wait until i was 18 and ready to move into my own place. I got my first ferret Chucky (breeding name; Amazing Ferrets Kentucky) in 2007. My other ferret is called Amina Chikatilo. She is 6 month old and from Sweden. I have been to about 15-20 ferret shows and over 25 private ferret-playdays with Chucky over the years. Both i Denmark, Norway, Poland and Germany. But unfortunately under a visit with some other ferrets and their owners (not a show, som private stuff) Chucky got infected with a unknown virus. He got ill and infected Amina to. I is about a month ago now, and there still don't have normal poops yet The vet says that it is possible to be ECE, but we don't have any test for ECE here. Now i'm just sitting home with my furballs and taking care of them Amina should have got her first litter this year, but because of the illness it would not be until 2012. Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand Chucky - why he is in a friying pan? It's just Kentucky Fried Chicken Amina - my fat little girl at 1050 grams:

I'm so sorry they contracted something, but wow - they are stunning! And I cracked up when I saw Chucky in the frying pan >:DDD
Welcome to the forum, and feel free to poke around and ask questions - the forum's full of great info and even greater people who are ready and willing to help!

Hi and welcome on board. Don't worry about your english, it's probably better than some of us who use it all the time. If there's something you don't understand ask us, and if there's something we're not clear on we'll ask you Your little ones are gorgeous. I'm so sorry that they've come down with a virus. It's so difficult. We've had a couple of people who've dealt with ECE recently, it might be worth prowling through some of the health threads to check out what they've done for their little ones. I hope that yours are on the mend Please feel free to prowl the site, read threads, ask questions and participate in discussions. Have fun Everyone's friendly and helpful. Photos are usually demanded...it's the one time we're a little pushy Your little guy looks quite comfy in the frying pan. Gorgeous furbabies ciao

Hi Jill and welcome to the forum I'm guessing that you must be "little_jill" on the Danish Ferretopia? I'm "Blueshift" on that forum Going by the posts over there I think it's pretty obvious that you're little ones got ECE. It's likely a very common infection in Denmark and has been for many years. I hope Chucky (and Amina?) get better eventually.
