I've been noticing over the past several weeks that all of my ferrets seem to have shorter fur from the head to about mid back. I noticed it on my kit first (about 5 months old). It started on her head first then I noticed it down her back. The fur on their head and upper body is short, thick, and very soft. The fur past that is longer and coarser. They've been on raw + Evo supplemented for about a month. I want to make sure it's shedding and not nutritional problems. I have a silver blaze that has the same thing going on but it's much harder to see in her white fur. You can kinda see in this picture where the fur is shorter and thicker up until their shoulder blades and then it changes texture.

yup! That's what my Crumb looks like and while we were out doing errands the other night I was walking around just rubbing his belly and I look down and see a pile of fur!
