So, without thinking about them pigging out too much on it, I gave them some fish yesterday. It was portioned to be shared by all, but what was I thinking? Oz ate every bit of it, and was terribly sick. He is fine now, but the churning of his little tummy and the amount he threw up was crazy. I syringed him some water and spoon fed him a little chicken baby food to get something in there after that craziness. Was that the right thing to have done? Next time, I feed fish seperately. :/

That is EXACTLY what Lucrezia did the first time with smelts. At that point I had no idea ferrets actually would overeat With her, it was smelts. Poor baby was so green. Just like a kid who'd eaten WAY too much cotton candy at a fair. She just lay in the hammock looking ill, after vomiting I don't know how much fish. Poor Oz! He'll be fine, and now you know to limit how much he actually gets of fish ;D Because, yes- he will likely try to do it again.

Well, I had given them catfish in small amounts, and theyt had never tried to eat themselves sick on it. Apparently though, this fish, was way more delicious. Definitely, I'm supervising next time.
