Does anybody use these? I ordered some more s & c patties but also decided to give these a try since my two barely touch beef if I offer it but don't have any issues with it, anyways got them today and they are the funniest little hard balls! Are you supposed to rehydrate them or what, I didn't see any instructions. I gave some to the ferrets and almost died watching Pandora roll hers around trying to eat it, the hilarity factor alone was totally worth it. Both the ferrets seem to like them, but they look really difficult to eat so I tried smashing them....yeah you get rock hard little pancakes instead.

I use these. They are pretty hard right! But they are good for cleaning teeth. I sometimes rehydrate them but I leave those little dry rocks in his bowl too. My dog loves the beef nibblets. Do you buy vital essentials?

Yeah they are vital essentials, I was just worried they would choke on them or something! I guess I was thinking more nugget or jerky shaped? Like they would be bigger. But they are neater than the patties for leaving out which is nice, I really like the ziwipeak for that but don't like the syrup or whatever is in there.
I was thinking these would make awesome dog treats actually, I try to buy healthy ones but most are so full of sugar, grains or veggies or super expensive, these are kind of a great size for my dogs as a treat and not badly priced in the larger bag.

I buy those sometimes when I can afford it and at first the ferrets looked at me like WTF and did the same thing you described but they got used to it quick after realizing i wasn't going to give into their picky butts. I like the beef more then the chicken because the chicken is bigger. So I prefer to get something like duck duck goose patties for their poultry intake or lamb patties. I like to buy 1 bag of beef niblets and 4 small bags of different variety stella and chewys.

I'm pretty much doing the same, for whatever reason mine really seem to like these little nibblets and it gets beef into them, they won't touch it normal raw anymore except for small chunks of gullet, then I buy lamb and duck patties and break them up for some more variety.

Yea freeze dried seems cheaper to me to offer them more variety. I only give them raw whole chicken (only like $5 for a whole chicken and cornish hens at this point. They also get beef fat from our cooking drippings. Everything else seems too expensive per pound. Plus I work a lot and the convenience of freeze dried is wonderful. I have to admit I actually bought them a bag of wysong ferret epigen and they did excellent on it. They were mad at me at first but then they were searching for crumbs. First time since 08 they've had kibble but at the time it was the best quality i could afford.

well unless rehydrated of course then they are perfect if you can get them to accept the flavor. Yours like frozen raw grinds more anyways don't they?

Mine are 8+ and 5 and they do fine with the nibblets, I don't rehydrate them. Can't imagine they are any harder than the bones they eat.

I cut the nibblets up for my guys - I used a paring knife.
