Hi guys just a heads up from something I read on the fml just in case you guys feed dogs or ferrets any of this stuff
Hi, I know that some of you feed Nature's Variety cat food and raw food to your ferrets.
According to a blog I follow, sharp pieces of plastic and fishbones, sunflower seed shells, and other sharp detritus have been found in several bags of their Instinct Rabbit Meal Formula for dogs, as well as their cat food, and treats. NV's freeze dried raw foods have been effected as well.
See: <dogsintraining.wordpress.com/2011/06/18/trick-or-treat-should-not-apply-to-dog-biscuits>
I was considering purchasing some of NV's freeze dried food for my ferrets, but am now very hesitant to do so. Should I Be? Should I worry that what has happened to others will happen to me as well?
take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

Thankyou for the heads up! i would be very cautious using the product and I would wait to hear if it has been resolved before I bought any. All the products on sale should be re-called.

I hope it was just 1 faulty batch or something! its a bit worrying, there quality control checks obviously aren't up to standard! it does make me wonder what on earth goes into these animal feeds sometimes.

NV usually does MUCH better than that. I'm really surprised. Guess I should start checking out my FML again. And by the way- never feed the NV freeze dried to ferrets. It has whole pumpkin seeds in it.
