I've noticed that Roxie's fur is starting to change colors. Her under coat use to be like a light cream color and parts of her are starting to look yellowish? If that makes any sense. Her top coat is still a caramel color but this is the first time I've ever seen her have a yellowish tint to her under coat. Is it just the season change or could illness cause a color change like this?

She's not doing it all over just in spots on her body and behind her ears! She didn't do that last summer that I noticed so I was just double checking! Thanks for the reassurance!

The only time I get concerned with colour changes is when they take on a deep orange colour along with that comes a change in odour...rather burnt vs the regular musky odour...then you might be having the hormonal issues that so often come with our altered fuzzes...adrenal. Most times it's just a darker colour, that signifies a coat change the result of a build up of oils. As Bev mentioned it is particularly noticeable in the 'binos and DEWs. I find that Odin gets particularly oily around his eyes (giving him the look of eye make up), around the base of his ears, between his legs and belly and sometimes if he's really feeling hobbish (he's a later alter) he gets a strip along his spine. ciao
