Yep this time get both pinkies and fuzzies. Hopefully he eats the fuzzy ones without a problem. Fresh pumpkin is fine, just bake it and scoop out the pumpkin. Squash can work well too. Do you have any chicken wings? I think picking up some chicken wings or Cornish game hens would be the next step. They are very easy to eat bones Some info on it holisticferret.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=care&action=display&thread=6208

hi Jackie! I managed to get some chicken wings for real cheap! So do i just give him the whole thing - skin and all, to chew on or separate at the joints? Also... i was wondering if once a week as maybe a change... to give him canned salmon with just oil? No flavour just the oil... I was looking for baby food at my local store but they didn't have any! so lousy... tuts... do i look for the pumpkin ones? my oven is a safety hazard... so i don't do any baking... or rather.. i am the safety hazard! LOL.... I have only 2 pinkies left... so will go get more tomorrow... will get the pinkies and fuzzies... How am i doing with all these?

Hello Okay for the chicken wings, I would separate the wing at the joint and offer him the tip. I would slice some of the meat so it's easier to pull off. Also, giving the wing a good smash with a hammer opens up the bones exposing the marrow which is really yummy Hmm, I would check the baking isle for the canned pumpkin. For baby food look for one that is only squash (or pumpkin) and meat. You and Pablo are doing awesome! He is advancing along quickly! You don't need these today, but you will need them eventually so be on the lookout! You will need a form of liver. Having multiple animal sources is best. Chicken liver is usually the easiest to find, but I see beef liver a couple times too. Pablo will need 1 liver meal a week. Also look for kidneys, spleen, pancreas, thymus, brain, etc. Other organ meats. Pablos diet should be 5% liver and 5% other organ. Another thing you will need is heart meat. He will need 1-2 meals of heart meat a week. Let me know when you get some more pinkies. If they don't have fuzzies, just get the smallest one with fur Again you're doing awesome! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

hey Jackie, Is it ok to add a drop or 2 of grapeseed oil to his chicken? Or would Olive oil be better?

I would stick to olive oil and fish oils. What are the ingredients in the canned salmon? If theres only salmon, no salt or anything it should be fine

I sprayed some olive oil on his chicken today.. i wanna introduce some beef to him but not sure how... however i was thinking to start with mince... his coat is really smooth now...

Thats great! So he actually ate the bone?! For beef, I buy the stewing beef (really fatty) and cut it into long slices and cover them in olive oil or pumpkin

hey Jackie, I just gave pablo his first beef minced meal... and sprayed some ollive oil on it.. he does seem to enjoy the olive oil... he has only eaten abit of the beef and gone to bed now... Does this mean he doesn't really like the beef? I'll see if he finishes it later in the evening when he is hungry and has no choice.. lol... but i have a wing in there just in case...

Does this mean he doesn't really like the beef? I'll see if he finishes it later in the evening when he is hungry and has no choice.. lol... Beef is a much stronger flavor, and can take some time to get used to. If he eats it, then he likes it enough Hope it goes well!
